  • Yeah I'd pay 60 bucks just to sit in the tree at the tower and ponder how the civilians are living life in the city below...or on the edge of a cliff looking out at the ocean mystified by its all its splender, or in a difficult to find, well secluded spot with some online buddies in an Xbox live party, just hanging out like those kids who walk the train tracks together... However... Please don't abuse that. I'm expecting great things with Destiny, I believe that Destiny is going to be the envy of the century, I also believe that not everyone is rich with cash and coin to spend helping you create that envy. Find a way to make it more affordable... It's not hard to see where things are going, you've taken a well known section of our galaxy, and remade it in your image, what's to stop you from say...adding a new glorious section of our galaxy to the list of planets available in destiny(as one possibility), and then making us pay...a lot...for access to it, you've already gotten some pretty bad press for how expensive the current DLC content is compared to the pricing of some competitors DLCs, and nobody has even been able to see the content of those DLCs aside from a brief description of only one of the two DLCs, despite paying for them, people are just trusting, that bungie is going to make it worth the price... If you expand the destiny universe further, I'd expect it to be free or at least almost free, after all you've basically just made an MMORPG, whether intended or not, now you've got to compete with popular FREE to play MMOs that offer just as much content in their games for free as you're already charging for, yes you've made a game that has definite uniqueness, but you'll turn many a gamer away, if you charge for the very thing that Destiny is about, exploration, seamless co-op gaming, etc. I can understand making a new dungeon on earth or the moon or a new multiplayer map pack or unique quests that are separate from the story, and charging for them, as we can still play destiny on the earth or moon without paying, but it offers extras for those who can afford to get them, without taking too much away from the game, allowing you to make some extra money, keeping people like me happy, and giving some extras to those who have that extra money available to spend on a game they already bought, to help the developers. Free to play MMOs have used this system for years now and it's worked out extremely well. I just have this fear that Bungie will add some sort of enormous content to the game, and instead of making it free, then making some extras and charging for those, that the Destiny community will get segregated badly, by those who can afford that new content, and those who can't. I know I know Bungie wants to please the community, but you're a big company, and I'm a cautious American... I feel that, I already paid 60 bucks for Destiny, and I pay for Xbl Gold each year so I can play games like destiny, which is more than my favorite MMOs cost in a lifetime. I would hate it so much if I got robbed an entire planet to explore and enjoy just because it cost too much for my limited budget, but if I got access to that planet, I wouldn't mind losing out on some extra content on that planet, because I just couldn't afford it, but at least I got to see the sights for myself right. I'm not sure if this makes any sense but don't try and fool us that the ambition of bungie is at an end, we all want a slice of what you've got concocting in your brew pot at bungie, but we may not all be able to pay cold hard cash for it...please keep that in mind. Nobody wants to miss out.
