Don't you dare try to say "All of the Above!" (even though I know some of you will). Tell us which archetype you think best defines you.
This is not an official UR study. It's just me being curious and stuff.

PvE=Joker PvP=Hardcore Viking Cyborg Warrior Demon Angel of Death (and lots of muttering and malice towards Bungie and/or other players) When I do good, I'm happy. But when I go below 1.2 in crucible(I'm usually in the 1.9 range). . . take off your headset. . .

Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well they're are no friends of mine

Edited by CherryBlossomJul: 12/19/2014 7:41:12 PMExplorer is winning. Maybe you should consider ACTUALLY making Destiny an open world map :(
-
Every time someone necros this thread I remember how hyped I was for this game when I voted dreamer. Stop depressing me.

Explorer because this game obviously need more areas to go to.

I have been playing since launch day and still enjoy discovering new places....just wish I could find more useful things

Not sure how to answer this question, are you asking what kind of player we are in terms on video games, if so then it is a little relative. For example i really love games with good stories to them, such as fire emblem, but then there are games like skyrim which i love but i love because of the exploration and building of a character. It therefore actually depends on the kind of game i am playing, some games i play for story, other games like destiny i play for the fun of doing stuff with my friends and simply collecting more loot. If i was solely a person that played for a really good story then i would have left games like destiny and grand theft auto a long time ago. Destiny is missing a lot of the aspects that you have listed above, however i still love the game because it is simply fun to play, especially with friends, so unfortunately i kind of feel that this survey has a flaw in it. Perhaps a more appropriate question would be, what are the kinds of aspects draw you to games? Then have a list of examples, people then post their group of things they like in games, and potentially add new ones that they feel apply to them if it is not provided in the examples above. Doing so will then give you an idea of what kinds of games most people look for, and then maybe you can attempt to classify what kind of gamer they are (good luck with that though).

Where is "Hoarder"? While no one would admit, I would put the majority of forum poster profiles there.

You know what I would love? More quests. Proper quests. I had this idea when I found this thrall hiding in the corner. He looked so miserable and I had to shoot him. Poor thrall. I wanted to talk to him. "Hey buddy, what's your problem?" Would have been nice if he would have given me a quest with options to choose. Not a linear quest. (No hating, I love the Eris quests) It would be cool if we could find more NPCs in patrol mode that tell you a little more about the story. Maybe some survivors from the city/golden age that we have to rescue? Those make you choose different options to proceed the quest. For example you can choose to go to some different location and kill something, or go to crucible (for people who prefer PvP) and complete different tasks. With slightly different outcome, to make the experience more individual for everyone. With slightly different rewards. Not only would patrol be more exciting. It would make every player a little legend in its own chosen way. AND... We would uncover little bits of the story...(and exciting loot) A bit like Skyrim. Where you bump into different characters at different corners of the world. And the story unfolds differently for everyone depending which option you choose :) The quests right now are very linear. But that would open up so many possibilities!!! :) Oh and I also would like if the quests go to the mission slots and not my bounty slots... I savour them and love the quests. But I feel like I have to rush through them to open more bounty slots. That's all.... I love the game :)

Haha I selected the last one just because I love the sarcastic vibe I'm getting from that answer :) Merry Christmas DeeJ.

I chose dreamer so hopefully you'll put a story in.
-
I would say all of them at different times, it depends on what needs to be done. I am a explorer most of the time though, I will wonder around and just check every little thing out if I have the time. If I'm with people I will be a joker and push people off cliffs because it's funny.

How is this even remotely useful in any way? Try asking more questions that can provide you with useful insight that can be used to implement positive changes in your game.

Lol poor Deej. This post is basically a place for people to angrily vent their frustrations. I think people think Deej is the guy making all the decisions. Oh well
-
Explorer is suppose. Love jumping into new areas and content upon release.
-
Funny how the one time he uses a poll it's to ask our opinion about something pointless instead of hey guys, "Would you like this, this, or this in a future update?" You're a knob deej.
Dreamer - Tell me a great story and blow my mind.
Yeah, that was a dream to have a story, wasn't it?
Explorer - Let me roam and discover the world.
Well, I would have, but this didn't happen either.
Partner - It's all about the party and the dance.
That's me, except the lame dancing part. What a wasted use of the D pad and game resources.
