Dear Bungie... WTB Ghost Edition
Dear Bungie,
You didn't make enough? Players and fans are going to be very disappointed if you didn't plan on the massive unanimous response you've received. An overwhelming number of folks want the Ghost and limited editions that tried to pre-order, but by no fault of their own they couldn't get it. Please make these editions available. We understand that you wanted them to be true "limited" editions, but you know better now. Pleases don't dampen the experience of Destiny's release. Make the special editions available.

Guys, just try the website of your local store... Some people cancel pre orders and some might never pick them up. I was told gamestop will update their inventory on launch day because of that. Try that out if anything.

On another note, Microsoft's website has been updating their inventory a lot. twice a day or so they get limited editions for xbox one and 360 and yesterday they even had the Ghost Edition for xbox one and 360.

While I was lucky enough to grab one for the 360, I do agree with you. Bungie knows how big this game will be, but somehow failed to make enough of them to give a reasonable portion of fans the chance. What if you're on PS4 and you're on vacation when it was announced? Screw you then. I understand that it is supposed to be and EXTREMELY limited edition, but if it sells out the day it's announced, then there's a problem.

15 RepliesMy questions is... how is it no fault of their own? The Ghost and Limited Editions didn't sell out within minutes, it took days, I think it took about a week for the ghost edition to sell out, or close to it. They had just as much opportunity as others to pre-order the game, be it online or in store. No cost is required for pre-ordering through certain avenues, if that's what you're arguing. I don't care if they make more or not, I just think you have a flaw in your argument.

1 ReplyI actually had the Ghost edition pre-ordered but unfortunately for me I pre-ordered it at Wal-Mart. They did not keep track of how many they had so when they realized the mistake a bunch of people were out of luck. They "apologized" and bumped many peoples pre-order down to the Limited edition or standard when they ran out of Limited. Thanks to Wal-Mart a lot of people who ordered in time were out of luck. Their are articles about if you don't believe me. I would love it if Bungie made the Limited and Ghost editions available for a little while longer so those of us that got our pre-order dropped will have a chance of getting another. Also don't release it to Wal-Mart, screw does guys.

Just to recap, there are lots of folks saying "You're SOL if you didn't get the Ghost edition." (As a side note, all of those people are on the other side of the glass looking out.) Kind of a heartless BH response. I mean, yeah, it's a limited edition thing, but does this obligate anyone to be giant male organ toward those that tried to pre-order while there was still supply, but couldn't secure it? Probably not. Thank you to those that saw both sides of the issue. It showed. Also, for those of you that got the limited editions pre-ordered, and despise the fact that more could be made because it would lower the value of yours (which would really suck if you were wanting to screw people on ebay), I just received confirmation from some retailers that more Ghost editions will be available for pre-order. I truly feel badly for your loss. Thanks for the discussion. Peasoup!

3 RepliesMakeing more makes it less valuable. It would be like a company making a item that is only supposed to have 1000 of them made and because people go and whine they make another 10000. The item no longer has the value the original people that got it thought it would. Yeah I would like everyone to get the chance but I hate to say it. Ya snooze ya loose.

Yeah, I mentioned that. I'm not asking the community to help me understand what "limited" means. The post is simply what I stated... "Dear Bungie." I'll thank you all for understanding the intent behind the post. Also, it's just plain tacky for people to say, "it's limited! Just because you're upset that you missed out doesn't mean Bungie has to listen to you! BUNGIE DON'T MAKE ANY MORE"! I suppose that Bungie should listen to people with the subtlety and tact of a chainsaw instead? Yes. Yes I suppose so. I think it's safe to say that only someone who has already pre-ordered one of the limited editions is going to say, "tough." What a great community response. Overwhelming.
