Seriously whats new other than bigger PvP (which isn't amazing)?BTW I mean gameplay wise.

Why is it that people who hated pvp had horrid stats?
-
Does Destiny have shotguns that shoot exploding rounds with a 50 shot magazine? Or guns that explode like grenades when you reload? The guns in Borderlands are WAAAYYY better. From the Alpha and Beta, it looked like the only thing that changes on a gun by leveling it up is the sight and damage. In Borderlands, the guns all have different fire rates, reload times, recoil, elemental damage, accuracy and magazine size AND they look different. Destiny seems to just have 1 or 2 variations in each gun class and 1 or 2 models with different skins. With class mods and relics in Borderlands, you can change magazine size, recoil, elemental damage, reload time, shield capacity and recharge, modify damage of specific guns, you get bonuses to critical damage, health, shield capacity, gun damage, grenade damage, reload, recoil, fire rate, shield recharge delay, shield recharge rate, melee damage, accuracy,....the list goes on and on, customization is so deep. At a level Destiny cannot compete with. In Destiny, there are 3 stats you can change with armor....that's it....3 stats...

Well it won't have Anthony Burch writing the story so that alone makes it leagues better than Borderlands.

My money.

It won't have you that's a plus....

Gearboxes lies?

An I and a Y.

You already said it dude. The PvP. Its garbage. Borderlands was smart and did not go the garbage PvP. Borderlands just skipped on it.

Edited by Tekn0z: 9/2/2014 7:50:56 AM- Upgradable guns - Private loot streams right off the bat - Better gun mechanics, its a Bungie game - interesting special abilities for each class - better enemy AI - better solo player difficulty scaling - better field of view I am told. If this is true its already 10 times better than borderlands 2 - better loot system with meaningful drops. Quality over quantity - bigger inventory capacity while starting - seamless public events - better vehicles and controls - oh and I felt borderlands 2 comedy was a bit forced and went overboard with memes and dubstep. And I really didn't find butt stallion funny at all.. Sorry :/ - you feel powerful in every level but in borderlands 2 you really needed to get to higher levels. Levels below 20 were just too grindy and boring esp solo.

Edited by R39Sovereign: 9/2/2014 7:34:56 AMStick with Borderlands then, since it's the better option for you. The pre-sequal is coming out later this year so preorder that instead.
Problem solved
A different vision, and a different company.

An amazing company called Bungie to back it up with new content...

Better customization, better VARIETY in guns (this means guns that are unique, not where everyone has the same assault rifle where the only difference is 3 points of damage), enemies that don't take a rocket to the face and only lose about a 10th of their health, PvP, useful rewards for completing missions, and most importantly
Peter Dinklage
-
The guns definitely feel better. The loot system is definitely better. The higher level engram drops are random but definite, dropped only for you, and based on events that can be redone every week. There are daily and weekly challenges that modify levels to increased difficulty for the chance to obtain unique items. The classes are not so different that they would have an effect on the overall gameplay making any combination of them ok to use. There is a smaller limit to the player levels but the duration of time between levels is increased to avoid the constant need for better loot. Both health and shields are for the most part a constant value and both regenerate on their own after a fixed amount of time. The playable levels have different difficulty tiers making them re-playable for better loot and challenge.
