The 'Darkness' is not truly the darkness, but is displayed as the Darkness by the Traveler's propaganda. In reality, the Traveler is the Darkness and the things hunting it are the real good guys. The Guardians are the Traveler's misguided army, which has been manipulated to believe that it is the good guy. That's why there are 'ghosts' floating around looking for people to manipulate. The Fallen are missing a part of their name, Angels. The Cabal are giants that tried to hide from the Traveler, hense they're name meaning 'secretive society.' But, of course, the Traveler harassed them. So now, with the Traveler weakened, they're attempting to extinguish the threat. The Vex are... unknown right now. The Hive is simply a loner group.
So yeah, you guys are working for the wrong side.

A dark heart is hidden within a veil of white light. my thoughts are the same about the traveler, and i believe that eris morn has a piece of it to revive it once more and this new dlc coming is nothing more than a way to keep the guardians busy until she can awaken him.

check out my cabal theory

Bungie isn't in to twists.

Edited by Dr Panda: 8/2/2014 9:58:36 PMIm calling it now that the "Darkness" will corrupt the speaker and you will have to fight him in the final mission.

It was all a dream. #justtropethings

The Traveller is the Death Star The 'Darkness' are the last survivors from the worlds it blew up with its super laser The end.
-
Could be right, sounds great!
-
You were going great until the Cabal. If they are trying to hide from the Traveler they wouldn't enter our solar system to try and expand the kingdom. Great twist though :)
-
the fallen were the travelers old army... but they fell and now they are on the side of the darkness

There are two many flaws in your story... good guys don't just whip out their enemies, they try to make the listen to reason, if and when a war broke out, once it got to point of where the enemy couldn't fight anymore, the "good guys" why have tried to sit down with the opposition and talk be... Genocide is not in the good guys repertoire... and the Hive isn't a group of loner, they are deformed mutated and want nothing but the destruction of anything that isn't them... if the darkness did make them... "Good Guys" Don't do things like that...

That would be a great plot twist or if it is the current story then that's pretty awesome.

Edited by GalaxySpider: 8/2/2014 7:19:47 PMNo shit, I actually thinking the same for the most parts. Maybe the Traveler is exploiting other planets for his own survival and hurts economy and civilizations along his way. And now after his journey there isn't much room to hide from all the angry races. And instead of doing the same to the humans and earth he did before to others races and planets, he decided to help them giving them advanced technology (and even the possibilty to bring dead people back to life) as a last option (the Traveler seems inactive or so after giving humans all these things and protecting the last city. So that process must have exhausted him). There must be a reason why other races are chasing him and why he is helping "us".

The speaker is going to turn evil.
-
If this is true don't spoil s*** for me. If it is not true, well, I'm gonna' guess that isn't true. But if that's true, and midgame you switch sides with Fallen or whatever, that'd be pretty cool.

If so then why did the Traveler bring about our golden age? Terraform our planets? Help us expand? The Darkness came to destroy us before we were Guardians. If what you said is true, the Darkness would have tried to convince us of what evils the Traveler is truly doing.

Edited by OmizzDontMiss: 8/2/2014 6:27:48 PMWell the Traveler gave us the golden age so I think I'm sticking by it lol.

Would make a great experience to play through.
