Cross Generation Play? (NOT PS to XBOX) PLEASE RECONSIDER BUNGIE!!!

Does anyone know if Xbox One and Xbox 360 players will be able to play together for the final game? I would love to play Raid and other gametypes with my brother and friends on Xbox 360 (I play on the Xbox One). I thought they would allow cross platform play within the Xbox Community, but that was not the case for the Beta. Thanks! *I forgot to mention that I wanted this because my brother plays on the Xbox 360 and I play on the Xbox One. Sorry for the confusion!! UPDATE: Hopefully Bungie reconsiders!! Now the only way I could play with my brother and friends on the Xbox 360 is if we get a second Xbox 360 or Xbox One console for my household because there is also no splitscreen :/

  • I do not believe that you can play Destiny across the Generation. The PS3 won't be on the same server to game on as the PS4. The same goes for the XbOx 360 and the XbOx OnE. However. If you have a copy for each of the machines. Both generations, the XbOx 360 and XbOx One, for example, you can use the same characters for each game. You create a character on the XbOx OnE you can use that character on the XbOx 360. As far as I know, this is how it works. I'm not sure why they aren't cross compatible through generation as the PS3 and the PS4 servers, for example, in Final Fantasy online is cross generation and cross compatible with the PC and the game DC Universe is also cross generation for the PS3 and PS4.
