Vladimir Komarov - the man who fell from space

I sorta stole this from Reddit. /u/sauccey explains the photograph:
This is a picture of the remains of Vladimir Komarov, a close personal friend of first man in space, Yuri Gagarin. Komarov was also a cosmonaut, and was selected to fly the Soyuz 1 mission, which was intended to reach the moon. Before launch, Gagarin inspected the craft, and found no less than 203 structural problems with the craft. Even still, Soviet command would not call off the launch, and Komarov would not back out of the mission, because that would mean Gagarin would replace him, and he did not want his friend to die. As soon as Soyuz 1 launched, everything went wrong. The automatic stabilizers failed, the manuals ones only partially worked, the orientation instruments froze, and the solar panels didn't work. The mission was aborted, and Komarov was ordered to return to Earth. However, his parachutes tangled, and he fell virtually unimpeded, the capsule striking the ground at 89 mph. During the entire descent, US listening posts recorded the transmissions between Komarov and ground control. They reported hearing Komarov crying in rage as he hurtled to Earth, cursing the engineers and Soviet commanders who killed him. You can hear the recording here: www.npr.org/blogs/krulwich/2011/05/02/134597833/cosmonaut-crashed-into-earth-crying-in-rage
Now you know where the name of the Hunter gear came from.
