Well, let's not forget video game development companies like bungie at the end of the day are a business. They need to make money to pay employees, release new content, maintain existing games, and develop new games. Outside of the obvious stress test, this was a very ambitious game. Getting as many people to play it and hopefully like it and buy it is smart from a business standpoint. Concerning the whole exclusivity thing I think it's important to note that bungie has kept it's word. I know when I pre ordered the beta code was pitched as "play the beta before anyone else" which even though I played on xbox I still got to play it before it went open beta. I got kicked off a few times during that 2pm deal so hopefully they got some good data and come 9/9 we won't have any server issues. As far as exclusivity goes, you should get things like an exclusive sparrow and what not (presuming you preordered at gamestop?). It also seems the limited editions are hard to find now that the beta is over so if you got on that bandwagon, that's another exclusive thing for you. Beyond that, no doubt after a few hours in the game we'll all be finding superior loot anyway. See you starside
