People, please stop pleading to have your character carried over to the full game. Yes most of us got to level 8 and put a lot of hours in, but this was just a beta. The point of a beta is to test the game. No one is forcing you to put in all that effort on what is essentially a demo. Everyone should and will start fresh from day one. This is the fair and right thing to do and Bungie know that.

Unless your a Dev at bungie.you don't "know anything about if the beta characters will be carried over". An it doesn't hurt anyone of they are. If you don't want to use your beta guardian then just make a new one an leave those who do want to keep there's alone. Its not your guardian an not your choice.

Sometimes I play demos at GameStop, and I force them to transfer my progress in-store to my home unit.

Hey guys, so yesterday, my companion app said I hadn't played destiny. However, now, it shows that I have my gaurdian and his items but no vault. Could they be letting us keep what we were wearing? It might just be a glitch.

but i was iron banner rank 2. so i am mad

Edited by REKLUSE: 7/28/2014 11:50:32 PMWhats with this fair crap. Every one had a chance to BETA it up. It wouldn't hurt anything to let us keep our stuff. Some ppl can't invest as much time as others (school/work/kids) and in bungies own words the game isn't at its best until you get to lvl 20 and that's just the beginning.

Although i agree, at one point beta was open to everyone so people who preordered only got a head start.

At this point, I've sort of stopped caring if my loot transfers or not; I want it to, but Bungie's silence makes me assume otherwise. That said, I'm growing to hate this "fair" arguement. Let's look at the Iron Banner weapons, or really any Legendary/Exotic gear. I can't use them until Level 20, by which point everyone else of the same level is likely to have some Legendaries of their own. The same applies to Rare gear: by the time I can actually use it, the majority of other people can as well. "Fairness" is a poor argument for wiping in my opinion, especially given that the Beta was open to all.

I feel like you're saying this because you got screwed by engrams and by the cryptarch or by Xbox servers. Everyone had access to the beta, if they diddnt jump on that it's their own fault. If we use the logic that it needs to be fair and even, how about every single person In the world wait to buy the game after Christmas. It's only fair to the people who get the game as a Christmas present that we wait until they start the game. See that logic makes no sense. If someone was giving out money for free and you chose not to go get some would you expect everyone who got the money to throw it away or each person give you part of theirs, ruining their experience so your laziness could be forgiven?

Thats like saying when a gamer gets the game a year after release, they should wipe everyone to make it fair. Everyone had access to beta so everyone had a fair start.
