I have gotten the error code "zebra" while playing Destiny. I was attempting to kill a Captain, and I was using a pulse rife, but I don't know exactly which one it was, he was not taking any damage. I followed the steps that your support site gave me, I exited and restarted the beta, but when I reach the home page and after I "click A to play" it gives me the same message before i can choose my character. I realized it was showing an image on screen for a fraction of a second before it would give the error code, so I recorded the game footage, went to the DVR app and watched it, I paused it as soon as it popped up, and it says:
INSTALLING DESTINY
-DOWNLOADING CONTENT UPDATE
-0.0./336.0 KB In Progress
It also will not let me play using my husband's account, he gets the same error message in the same spot from the same console. We are playing on an Xbox One: Day One Edition. It was at about 6:55 EST

Edited by George McBay: 7/28/2014 1:00:35 AMThis error code zebra situation persisted past the server testing for me (still happening at 6pm Pacific). The message about being in a queue doesn't show up anymore on the "INSTALLING DESTINY" screen and I've heard the server tests are over, but when attempting to start the Destiny client I still wind up on the update install screen for the 336.0 KB update, and then get code zebra dialog and punched back out to the title screen. Ah well, I guess that's it for me on the beta since there's no way to delete/redownload the app to try to clear the problem and the beta is almost over. Nicely run Beta, bungie; this zebra error issue at the end is the only significant problem I ran into without a workaround (minus the Xbox Live Friends/Party issues on Saturday, but that's on Microsoft AFAICT), see you in September.

Edited by George McBay: 7/27/2014 11:28:32 PMSame thing for me on Xbox One. Beta worked fine since the beginning, got a 63(?) megabyte update this morning, played for an hour, left for lunch, came back and now when I start Destiny on the Xbox One is looks like it is about to install an update but then goes to the error code: zebra dialog box. I've hard reset my Xbox One (something that is sadly often required to get Xbox One games to behave) various times to no avail, seems like it thinks it needs another update but that update doesn't exist.

I got the same thing.it pops up for a split second the update screen then goes immediately to the error screen.

Keep in mind that they're doing a lot of testing in the background as the beta comes to a close. It's not ending just yet, but don't expect it to be stable like it has been previously.
