2,3,4,5: You can dismantle gear and weapons you do not want that will give you glimmer and also needed items such as wire and gun parts. Scroll over the item you no longer want and press the corresponding button. To farm in beta...as any other game...repeat missions that you've played on normal/hard and run around in the exploration mission to find chests with glimmer and gear. I like to farm an area called "the divide" it's fast and easy to get to and has a fun public event to kill a devil walker and has, as I've found so far, 5-6 chests that spawn around the area. Collect Spinmetal leaves, those shiny silver colored plants, to turn in for rewards at the tower. To get better gear and weapons, you can visit the vendors in the tower and see what they have in stock. Visit the npc that decrypts encrypted engrams that you can purchase or loot from kills you make in game. Encrypted engrams appear as green spheres that randomly drop when you make kills. An easy way to make money (glimmer), farm chests and kill yellow labeled enemies and dismantle all white gear you do not need. So far I've bought both an upgraded sparrow and new ship and have purchased various weapons/gear with glimmer left over by just farming the divide. In short, play the game.
