Full Game level cap at 20?
Seeing all of the legendary gear you get from people like the class vanguards or from The Speaker require level 20 has left me concerned that level 20 might be the cap. That just seems awfully low considering
1. How quickly you can climb ranks, and
2. How you only get three character slots. Personally, I would rather see a level cap of at least 50 or something. I also feel that only three character slots is too few. Perhaps these issues are already addressed in the full game, but I'm just making my opinion known.

And it's odd that people believed Motes of Light were used to level up at all at any point in time in character progression before or after level 20. [b] They're currency basically. [/b] You use [i] Light [/i] from armor and defense upgrades to Light imbued armor to level up from levels 20-30+ (I believe Destiny is truly capped at level 30 currently...At least until the DLC packages go live which may be a few months from now, then again about a year from now or sooner). I can tell you now, the game truly does shine and become a new beast entirely after level 20 as promised. But it becomes rather difficult and "borderline impossible-ish" to level up past 27 with relative ease...It takes material farming, extreme luck to acquire ascendant shards & energies for beefing up weapons and armor, lots of glimmer, participation in public events, and lots and lots of time and grinding. I bet the ultimate level cap of the game will be about 50 (like in the Bungie run Halo games). I imagine Destiny will drastically change in several technical and functional ways over the year. Probably lots of balancing and nerfing too unfortunately.

The level cap by using Xp is 20. But you can level up past that with [b]Motes of Light[/b]. Bungie is focusing more on a [b]Horizontal[/b] leveling up system than a vertical one.
