moon physics needs work

Gravity seemed a bit strong considering it should be 1/6 Earth. Also I noticed a flag waving in the breeze. Breeze? No air on the moon. Also, without air there probably wouldn't be any sound except your own breathing, but that might be distracting. In Halo 2, sound was muted a bit when outside. Perhaps you could do something similar.

  • the traveller made the planets and moons in our solar system inhabitable... or did you ignore the intro sequences?

  •
Different gravity but none of this "realistic" gravity nonsense. If the gravity were "realistic" every time you shot your gun you, or your weapon at least, would be sent flying from the recoil. The recoil from a full auto weapon (assuming it would even fire past the first shot) would break your shoulder or worse. Honestly my biggest gripe about the Moon was the fact that I could hear things; I think it would've been more atmospheric (pun intended) if sounds were at least reduced.
quoting--- s3k5hubn319ht

    • There is a simple explanation. Solar Winds. Watch the original moon landing footage.

    • The Traveler came. It's magic. It needs no explanation.

    • It wouldn't work. First of all it would completely ruin the titans super. It would make it very difficult to get good at fighting if u have to keep on changing your fighting styles for each planet you go to.

    • Just imagine the fun if gravity was different on each planet. This would add a whole new dimension to matchmaking map selection.

      • The Moon mission was a bit too much like a bleached Earth. It'd be nice if it felt like you were somewhere else.

      • Well you should have also noticed that in the opening it was RAINING on MARS and on VENUS! The games lore explains everything, even why death is an easy fix.

      • In one of the IGN First videos about destiny it was mentioned by Deej that all planets have earth gravity in the game because the traveller gave us the tech for artificial gravity for the purpose of terraforming.

        • I said the same thing when first jumped on the moon. I thought i would go higher. Also the lighting is totally of but i think its on purpose because it would be pitch black if earth is blocking the sun

        • Sadly this mechanic was purposeful. Would've loved low gravity on the moon.

        • Einstein's theory of general relatively offers a possible explanation. According to the theory gravity is not caused by an attraction force between masses but rather masses curve the the fabric of the universe call space time, and space time pushes matter together. Now all we have to do it stretch the space time around the Moon in such a way that it pushes masses towards the Moon with the same force as on earth while simultaneously compressing the space time between the Earth and the Moon pushing them apart just enough for them to stay how they are today. Similarly space time can be stretch around all the other planets to give them Earth's gravity, and the space time between planets and the Sun could be compressed to keep them in their place in relation to each other and in orbit around the Sun.

            • Gravity is actually a lot closer to 1/3 the gravity of earth. And this is centuries in the future. There may be air there. But I believe there should also be an explanation for either possibility.

            • It seems that you have some vary good points that I can agree on but also the traveler created maricals for the human race so instead of over populating the earth they expanded to the Moon, Mars, Venus and maybe other planets.

            • I like the lack of sound idea. Like Deadspace when you enter a vacuum area. That would add something really special to that location, I like it, good shout.. Maybe not total silence, but the sound of your breathing inside the helmet (providing your not Exo, I don't suppose they breathe!! Maybe they can have some kind of servo sounds to elude to small eye movements or something) combined with muffled environmental sounds would be epic..

              • Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic From Clarkes Law's That being said the moon would still have a lower gravity due to its size the Mars would have higher Gravity

              • there were moths on the moon flying around a light source. This is not the moon you know. I would like the gravity to be a little more floaty, but something was done to it. Just like Venus, mars, and other planets were terraformed. This is no moon, it is a deathstar. I mean it isn't the moon that we know. The traveler obviously did something to it.

I noticed some of this too, but I had so much fun on the moon that I really didn't give a shit. Maybe the Traveler brought some sort of materials from far away galaxies that do not exist in ours that allowed the moon to have stronger gravity and somewhat of an atmosphere. I don't know, and I really don't care. I am not one that needs everything explained to me (not that you do, I'm just sayin.)
