So this game so far even though it's only in beta form is phenomenal! But anyway, during the Iron Banner matches there was these super rare items/loot that you would randomly receive as an award regardless of how well you did, there was a Legendary Ship and a Legendary Hand Cannon which was capped to Lvl 20 so you couldn't use it. Now mainly I'm curious to know everyone else's opinion on this but i also wanted to express mine. DONT DO IT!!! Random but super rare loot/items that you can only get through a specific event within a certain time span is the most infuriating thing a video game can do (my opinion) and im sure others agree. You may aswell say "hey, lets cut out a piece of the game and give it to a few people who do *this, this and this* within *this* time span" because thats a thing and my god i wish it wasnt! Not only that but it never actually works. I did a years course on Computer Science at college once and from that i knew that nothing programmed is completely random and its true, a computer cannot just randomly give you something it will always have some sort of order to it therefore the whole thing being "random" is not random at all, and defeats the concept of the give away being random. Take GTA Online's beer hat situation, that went wrong from day one. Now i know that game is a broken mess and the destiny BETA... B-E-T-A is in better working order than it but those beer hats were supposed to be random and the "randomising" never properly worked, thousands of complaints a day were coming in where someone got the Patriot hat 5x or the Happiness T 4x and Benedict 3x in a certain order... My point is, it never works, and the fact that some people put hours into these give aways and never get anything and some get it first try is beyond unfair. But like i said, that main thing i want to do is see everyone elses opinion on it and hopefully influence Bungie's choices for the full game, so thank you for hearing me out. Also, no hate please, we all have an opinion, that was mine and youre going to have yours and thats okay because we're friends here.
