So, my PlayStation4 controller is less than 3 months old. I've kept it nice, tried my best to keep it unscratched, ect. This is the first time having this issue with it and it's the first time with Destiny.
While playing in Old Russia, Exploring I encounter the group of Fallen around the old shed area that leads to the underground map you locate in the first couple missions. I was running around, shooting as normal, and after using a melee attack I wasn't able to shoot. I couldn't throw grenades, shoot or jump. It took a while and then I tried melee which did work and the controller then started acting as it should and everything went back to normal. I'm fairly sure this isn't a problem on my end, being my controller, so I'm posting here about the issue.
To clarify, I started the engagement with 3 sniper rounds and then a melee attack and afterwords wasn't able to do anything else until I used another melee attack. You will notice how I'm in close proximity with a fallen after the initial melee. I had intended to hip-fire at him from close range. Once I did the melee the 2nd time, the regular button actions came back.
Has anyone else encountered this? Maybe this is an isolated issue, something I'm overlooking? I've attached a link to a video to what happen. It was a short little moment.
