I think the customization, as it is right now, is FAR too limited. If I'm going to invest in these characters, then I don't want to be forced to play with 7 or whatever preset faces, a few strange hair styles, and 0 customization of anything besides the face. For instance:
I create two characters. One is a Titan, the other is a Hunter. The Titan would probably be quite a bit bulkier than the Hunter since the Titan is lugging around large weapons and heavy armor; however, all of the body types are exactly the same.
If I had anything bad to say about Destiny, it would be that the customization right now seems more like a gimmick than a feature. It's like Bungie saying "hey look, you can have different hair styles! Buy our game!" I would ask for more customization, in the form of two possible methods:
1. Way more presets than are currently in the game.
2. More control over appearance, like control of individual features (i.e. jaw width, eye separation, nose shape, etc.)
The customization seems similar to that of Star Wars: The Old Republic, but that had so many presets that it was acceptable. Everyone could find their unique look. With the current options in customization, I can't help but feel like I look like at least a third of all the other players.
On a separate note, the Hunter seems to be of little use in The Crucible. Right now, the AoE damage effects that the Warlock and Titan can unleash FAR out class the capability of the Hunter. I might recommend perhaps extending the time Golden Gun is active slightly, or perhaps increasing the damage slightly.
