Hey everyone. I've recently hit level 8 with all of the three classes and had some time to faff around with them. Initially, I figured the 3 classes would be very similar, only distinguishable by theur looks and supers - but I must ad mit I was wrong.. Which surprised me, cause at it's heart, the game is a shooter. Anyway, I would like to hear [b][i]your [/i][/b] opinions about each class. I'll get the ball rolling with my own first and final impressions. Not need to 'wall of text' bombard, like I did. Also, please click the poll for your fav class out of the three/starter class upon launch :) [b]Hunter[/b] [i]- First impression:[/i] Considered the golden gun to be severely OP and out of place in the game.. And ricidulous for PvP. Thought the blade dancer was an awesome looking subclass. [i]- Final impression:[/i] Loving the throwing knife and the double jump. I prefer the jump over a glide jump any day of the week. Makes you a harder target to hit. I love the speed of the hunter and the sense of agility it harbours. I'm still not digging the GG though. It IS great for PvP (3 shotted a tank), but I still think it's a ridiculous idea :p.. Really bummed that she's not stealthier, though. I guess I'll like her, once I can try out the blade dancer subclass in September, and get my sealth/stab itch scratched in this game too. [b]Titan[/b] [i]- First impression:[/i] Overjoyed to see the defensive bubble. I get to live out my Asari Justicar fantasies again.. Also, I love support classes. Figured speed + melee would be fun to try. For once, a "tank" class appealed to me. Usually, I end up going for the stealth kit. My fear was that it would feel TOO much like a straight up shooter class.. No special traits, probs some better gun handling and more armour. [i]- Final impression:[/i] Hulk f****** smash! I love this one. I don't get a lot of kills on behalf of my special (I can't aim for ****) - but a sprint, a slide and a swift stormfist to the nether regions, and the Titan sends the enemies flying. Pure love. Also, I am no king of shooters, so the extra armour and insane melee damage works wonders for me when caught off guard. I prefer the Titan out of the three. I intend to put my points into the defender as be straight up support, or go full blown juggernaut with melee, speed, armour and recovery specialisation. Brute force for ftw. [b]Warlock[/b] [i]- First impression: [/i] Figured this would be everyone's "go to" class at launch. Turns out to be partially true in the beta. Wanted to try the Warlock last. Thought Novabomb was a ranged version of the Titan super. Figurd she'd be the easiest class to use of them all. [i]- Final impression:[/i] I suck at the Warlock. Period. I went from Titan to lock and got my ass handed to me by anything from NPCs to PvP opponents (due to lack of surviability, go figure.. I wasn't accustomed to hiding as much and immidietely went to deflect the enemy bullets with my face, to spare my teammates the pain. Her grenades, though, are awesome and I believe the Lock's super is the most powerful one atm.. But at the cost of low survivability. She's the high risk/high reward class. I love the synergy of her melee attack (siphons energy to recharge grenade energy; she just seems more advanced than the others) - and I love the fact that she can eventually become a healer. Due to her healing subclass, I think she will be my second class to play since I like playing healers - and healers are everyone's best friends.
