Allow for Dualshock 4 functionality/customisation

I really wish Bungie would allow the option for player to use make use of the Dualshock 4's Touchpad and Speaker functionality... Feel using the swipes on the touchpad for emotes would open up the d-pad for a lot of the in game functions that are currently hidden behind layers of menu. Also having your Ghost's voice being played via the controllers speaker could be neat as a option. Currently I find myself not using the Sparrow as often as I would like since I have to go through more then one button press and menu to get to it, the same goes for switching weapons. Something like what I've put together below would be a huge help in terms of making said items more accessible and as such incentivise player to use the Sparrow more and try out different weapons in their inventory more often as and when the situation requires it. A example of what I mean can be seen on the picture below: (Also clicking in R3 as a secondary mapping for using the Super is also something I'd consider using if available. ) Destiny Controls Example Finally a option to allow for fully customisable control scheme is something I feel strongly about (Bungie already took a step in the right direction from the Alpha to the Beta) since we all have different preferences and the controller is the first and most important device when it comes to interacting with the game, and it is very important that every player feels as comfortable as possible with the button layout.

 • Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way regarding the controller stuff, between seemingly all the Armbands and Hairstyles talk I sometimes worry that most of the feedback is simply going into the visual side of thing. Definitely feel I am currently not trying out the range of weapons available to me simply because it's too cumbersome to switch between them currently, so being able to switch between them with a button press would make me much more likely to for example run about with a Scout Rifle while outdoors in the open and then switch to my Auto Rifle when I run into a interior environment (maybe switch to a Hand Cannon as and when I fell like it). The same goes for the Sparrow on occasion, those few extra steps to getting to it simply put me off at times, which is unfortunate as the buttons are there and available for use for that stuff to be made more accessible and streamlined.
Meanwhile the only layout with crouch on a damn stick is puppeteers and crouch has become one of the most useless options in a fight...
Exactly, everyone have slight different styles and preferences when it comes to controller mapping, and while one of the handful of pre-defined layouts while please most there is no reason to compromise the comfort of people who play your games by not allowing a fully custom option on the side.

 • Hell yea this is important man. There's 4 unused actions in the touch pad right now. Swipes Up Down Left Right Meanwhile the only layout with crouch on a damn stick is puppeteers and crouch has become one of the most useless options in a fight....its impossible to Bob and weave while landing a head shot....Not with the crouch button on an aim button and not with crouch on a face button without gripping the controller UN naturally. .. We got an option to switch the functions of bumpers to triggers... Can we please get a option to switch actions for the sticks? I want crouch on left stick please! I hate it on right stick. I'll feel way better if I could switch Sprint over there. .. This way crouch sees some tactical action in the crucible during a fire fight other than sliding and sneaking around. I want to naturally play bobbing and weaving and not havr to try and claw my ds4....which seems more trouble than its worth for me...
