Basically, I want to know if this SneakerNet thing still works?

I played Reach at launch so I assume my account is "eligible" as it states. But when I input the 64 character code and wait 15+ minutes, my avatar never shows up in the selection of avatars.
To be quite honest the selection of avatars on bungie.net is pretty bad, so I would rather at least use one of mine that I created in Halo Reach than have to pick from a set list.
