Improve player interaction - Add text chat or area voice chat to the tower
We already discussed that in the Alpha but it's really necessary to improve the ways of communication at the tower.
Right now its very silent and boring there. Players can only PM each other or silently invite others. We need to have a text chat or an area voice chat here. This place is meant for socializing too - how do you want to do that if there is no way do address questions, opinions and such to the public player community?

I agree; currently the most effective means of communication is via the PSN messaging system which takes far too long to navigate. I've very used to atmospheres like the Tower being flooded with vendors selling gear on trade chats channels. Furthermore, I'd also like to mention the desire to match-make a PVE / Open Wolrd mission. The primary reason I want text chat channels is so I can let people know that I want to go adventuring in a party and am up for whatever is on their agendas.

I agree. Idk if you have played dcuo but they have a decent chat system on there. I think it could be something like that.

I think a request to talk would work well. It can be in the same menu option as inviting someone to your fireteam. This allows those who do not want to hear a ten year old practice all those cool insults and curse words to go about their business, but still easily allow people to talk through the microphone if they chose to. As it stands right now, I've never joined a strangers fireteam or anything. It would be nice to quickly talk to someone to see if we wanted to work together than to invite them, then find out he wanted to free roam and I wanted to do a strike.
