For god sake bungie we told you about the ridiculously awful damage arrows when we all played the alpha, and what do I find the first minute into destiny's beta, yep you guessed it, those awful damage arrows again! Seriously they are confusing, I played around 30 hours of the alpha and didn't get used to where the heck those arrows were pointing the entire 30 hours. Please for the final build change the damage arrows to something a little less confusing!
-
Yeah, they were pretty useless.
-
Agreed
-
I know
-
I imagine it'll get fixed by release.
-
Yes please. PLEASE!
-
Useless half of the time they are wrong, the other half it's me
-
I agree!

Edited by Zaz_JK: 7/26/2014 8:06:46 AMThen how about indicators like on the flying games like ace combat. Have an arrow leading you as you turn to look. In real life you're going to know because you can use all you're senses. If you're hit in the game make it obvious unless they used a silencer. Then Make it less obvious.
-
Agree. They are horrible. Why not just get knocked in the opposite direction when hit. Duh. No indicator needed
-
*sign Damage arrows are almost useless.

I think the entire radar / arrows need strengthening. It's not just hard to figure out where you're getting shot from but also where the enemy is coming from. The radar seems SO small and sensitive. A good example is at Shores of Venus PVP map site B. You're standing there facing the door and the radar tells you someone's coming from your right. You turn right and suddenly the enemy is coming through the door you were just looking at. Sure, he comes from the right, through the doorway, but not from the right where the HUD says. This is mostly because the extremely large quadrants of the radar leave no nuance whatsoever. By the way guys, here's a great tip to prevail in PVP. The radar's useless flashing when an enemy is close feature screws everyone's perception up (especially with the ability to reach such heights). So simply hide behind an object so that when an enemy approaches their radar goes straight to panic mode blinking and then pop out as they spin around in panic trying to figure out where you are because the radar is so poor at telling you ANYTHING.

I rather like the arrow system. It's intuitive and not bland like the typical "red border" you see in other games. A "red border" on the top of your screen usually indicates you're taking damage from the front, while the person shooting at you could be above you. The arrows are exceedingly useful in that instance.
-
I concur.
-
Agreed!
-
Yes, please change to something like a small red flash in the direction you were hit from.
-
It's much better to have just a faint red flash in the direction you get shot from. The arrows now look like they could be anywhere.
-
I also did not get that arrow system. so I want to ask in a more polite way if you could change that to a more easy to understand way
-
+1 Yea it literally seems like it points in the other direction when you're getting hit
-
I've been killed multiple times in the Crucible because of this.
-
Most deffinatly needs to be changed
-
I agree, I almost never know where the damage is coming from and end up going around in circles, I think they should give us arrows where the damage is but on our HUD. For example, a shot hits our left front side, a flat arrow is on the top left side facing the N/W direction of the HUD . (I also think they should add a compass rose on the HUD as well.) :)
-
Yes! The game looks so great and clean and then out pops these awkward 3D damage arrows that look like they had an allergic reaction to the bullets. Can never tell where they're pointing. But otherwise betas awesome!!
-
Definitely agree. Make this easier to understand

Edited by Lose: 7/18/2014 3:13:15 PMFYI - Just in case you guys didn't know Damage Arrows are mainly used by the DEAF community since they cant hear that they are taking fire from the left side or behind their backs. Many deaf members who played Halo back in the days enjoyed having this feature, please do NOT REMOVE DAMAGE ARROWS but fix and adjust if needed.
-
I HIGHLY agree. You cant tell where its pointing. Sometimes it actually looks like a triangle thats pointing in a different direction. It needs to be less 3D, it's skeleton should have an outline, or something.

I have died sooooo many times because I turned left enstead of right trying to read the Arrows. Please try something else!!!!!!!
