Tragedy strikes on the eve of the Beta release
So everything was going great, I didn't work tomorrow so I could stay up all night enjoying the Destiny Beta ( I never played the Alpha ) I picked up a twelve pack of Labatt and a big digorno cheese in the crust pizza because who doesn't get the munchies gaming all night, right? I get home from going on a hike and turn on my PS4, or should I say attempt to turn on my PS4, it makes a single bing, starts up with a clicking from the rear before shutting back off without the blue light making an appearance. I've had it sense the PS4 release night 8 months ago and never had any trouble so I guess it's fate that this should happen now, ruining my chance to play the beta as well as most likely missing the first week of the Last of Us remastered release while i wait for a special box to get to me, ( 2 - 7 days ) my PS4 to get to them ( 2 - 7 days ) and however long it will take to fix and send back to me ( possibly up to or more than two weeks ) Very heart breaking, especially for me as I've never moved it from my room and have taken several opportunities to clear all the dust that gathered within it. I tried all the trouble shooting to no avail so alas, fellow Guardians, heed my warning and enjoy your Beta release for a day may come when you will find all the joy has turned to ash in your mouth.

This almost happened to me with my internet, it looked like my modem almost failed on me but then i fixed it. And then my router started -blam!-ing up but I fixed that too. Dodged 2 bullets. But sad to hear your situation, just got a ps4 3 days ago. I'll enjoy the beta for you!!!!!!

Sorry man! I'm scared too! Starting last night my internet starting disconnecting for no reason and everything I try doesn't fix it. It's just random so I hope tomorrow I can download and play fine tomorrow.

2 RepliesTry to completely shut it down. Then pull the power plug out of the back. Then hold the power button for 10 seconds with it still unplugged. After that plug it up and hold the power button till u hear the second beep. Then follow the on screen text. When given the opportunity chose option 5 rebuild database.

That sucks, my launch ps4 sometimes when I turn it on has no sound like 1 out of 100 times. Turn it off and back on and it's fine.. Worries me a bit I remember reading some of the first made had hdmi issue...

I came here thinking there was a problem that the beta would be postponed due to some freak thing. Relieved that didn't happen and it's only you missing out. Sorry/not sorry
