[Updated] The point of this thread is about speculating as to what the level cap, if any, will be in the beta. At around 0:45, we see a player that is level 14; however, this does not apply to the beta as there is no "Beta Build" illustration in the top right corner. At 1:31, IGN indicates that we can change our armor colors with shaders. The Guardian outfitter shown at that time does require one to be level 20 to have that shade. However, in the Alpha we did get access to shaders from a different vendor--particularly, factions, for winning many crucible matches. In the Alpha, I had a Future War Cult shader. Also, at 0:55, the hive ogre/knight has a question mark in place of where one would expect the numerical value to be. This may be an indication that there is a level cap for players. It's important to note that even though we may have this low level cap, we may still get access to items that were unaccessible in the Alpha. For example, we could not use the third tier(Rare--illustrated by a blue color) or higher tiers of weapons/armor. Rare items may have had their level requirements downscaled in the beta. CONFIRMATION of Beta XP being acquired by level 7 player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-qI0zvh8zE [Information provided by Remmus] I do realize the relationship between Bungie and the number seven; however, this is probably not indicative of the exact level cap. From most indication thus far, information points to a beta cap at a low level. We should know for sure during the IGN Beta gameplay being livestreamed at 2 PM EST. *Tyger(See below.) suggested that we should be able to get two subclasses per class. In the Alpha, we were allowed access to only 1 subclass per class. The second subclass unlocks at level 15--perhaps this is the point of level cap. Of course, it would be very exciting to this community to not have a level cap at all. My interpretation may be different from your own--what do you think?
