Hey guys! I think I've already spotted something neat =]
In the unboxing video for the Ghost Edition in the Field Guide you can spot this Hunter Character on the left, and in watching videos of the Alpha I've noticed there is a striking similarity to way the Hunter's Mentor (Vanguard) in the Tower looks. This could be a coincidence, but I highly doubt it. Like it says in the Field Guide; Life will always find way- as long as Light remains.
I look forward to finding more easter eggs or fun nods to canon as we traverse this new world =] This is just a glimpse of what is to come.

I think the poster in ODST counts as Destiny's first eager egg, assuming there wasn't something earlier which went unnoticed.
-
Destiny's first easter egg is the moment you look at the game's cover boxart. The back of the Hunter's Helmet looks like the front of Master Chief's Helmet. And personally, I think the cover sucks. The placeholder image of the planet looked so much better.

ok, my brain says, no because one is human and one is exo BUT my nerd then says.... What if they are the same person and exos are golden age humanities attempts to resurrect the dead, a human consciousness in a robotic body the ghosts were created at the fall, so we would have not been able to rely on a ghost nobody can remember why the exo were created and the exo remember little to nothing of the past... "i heard nobody comes back the same"
-
This is no easter egg. from the writing scrawled next to the human in the concept art, you can tell that the human pictured (clearly labeled as Andal Brask) was the hunter vanguard before Cayde. for the love of God people, they're wearing the same thing because they have the same job. its a sort of uniform. They have different names; they aren't the same person just turned into a robot.

Pretty damn interesting OP. Keep it up
-
Found it interesting OP
-
Nice fine, I didn't notice it.
-
you may be on to something.
-
Damn that's pretty interesting
-
That would be amazing. It would play into my theory that all the races were once human. The Awoken are confirmed to have been humans. The Exos were made by the Warminds, but maybe they were made using humans. After all, Bungie keeps calling them cyborgs.
-
RTL looks like a modification for RIP, as all of the other annotations refer to Brask's passing. Any thoughts on what it means exactly? Rest in Traveler's Light?
-
Nice work
-
i don't get?
-
All I'm seeing is that they decided to change his race between the creation of the concept art and making of the alpha build... Probably just thought an Exo suited the Hunter class better?
-
Yup! Was pretty excited when I first put two and two together. It's amazing how Bungie links everything in Destiny.
-
Yo dude that's trippy! So I guess my theory was correct! That some exos used to be humans! That's awesome.
-
The conncecton between the two pictures make sense especially being that it's a book of lore for the game which sounds like more than just concept art to me.
-
... The very concept of concept art eludes you....
-
Nice. The lore is looking sweet.
-
Andal brask died b4 his time ( young) was a great loss. Cayde will carry the torch (taking his place). He got the short stick. Hes stuck in wall (tower). Hunters hunt (as in he cant anymore) so he got the short stick.
-
Wow nice eye! I know that it probably isn't, but it would be cool if he died and his family had is past/memories and personality put into an exo.
-
I think that the human in the illustration is andal brask and he was the hunter mentor before Cayde-6. I believe that ''Cayde will carry the torch'' references Cayde taking Andals place as the hunter mentor. Even if I'm wrong, it's cool that they seem to have a very deep lore.
-
That's awesome
-
That's not an Easter Egg.
-
His ghost probably brought him back to life
-
That isn't really a Easter egg.
