Sniping in Destiny

Hello, fellow Guardians. I thought I'd share my experiences from sniping in the Alpha. Sniping in the Alpha felt like a mix between COD and Halo, which I found a little disappointing, because I really loved sniping in Halo, and didn't care for the mechanics in COD. You don't get de-scoped for being hit, but you flinch like crazy. The Sniper Rifle is also inaccurate unless you aim down the sight, which seems to be to make sure you can't do anything close-range with it. I plan on playing with it more during the Beta to test this but it seems like they borrowed this idea from COD. No-scoping seems to not rely on just skill, but also luck, because of hip fire bullet spread. It made it feel a little inconsistent. I found the different scopes to be odd, as well. There are ones with HUGE amounts of zoom. My favourite was the blue one with the least zoom - the other ones seemed to be overkill (especially from a PvP perspective). Also, you can't ADS and use your movement ability at the same time. Also worth noting: some Sniper Rifles had a 3 bullet clip, and some had 4. Needless to say, the hip fire spread is definitely NOT as bad as it was in COD - where I would hip fire a sniper rifle and watch the vapour trail go sideways across my screen, and not even come out of the barrel. Sniping is still fun, but the incorporation of COD mechanics disappointed me a bit. This is just about all I can remember from my experience. Thoughts/comments and questions are welcome. Also! sniping people with the Golden Gun is extremely fun.
