death

How does one cope.. ..with the inevitable, imminent, irresistible, destined fact that, what we are experiencing now (life) will just stop. Consciousness has a limit. Love has a limit. You will have to feel the struggling last moments of your life one day and decide what your last thoughts will be. Maybe I am just bloody depressed and maybe you are a happy person. Perhaps you got everything set right in your life and you are nothing like me but, death is shared between you and me. Your existence is just as good as mine considering we share death. That is why I have never understood all the simplicity people believe in. These stereotypes we let slide and the hatefulness we do not call out. Shouldn't we all be respected, both of you will cease from existence. Both will have to close their eyes in the end and let go. There is a time before us and a time after. Not even our great grandchildren will remember our names. I am not happy about saying this; sharing my fear with you is not my goal. In fact writing this is a mistake. I am just so damn scared. I was walking down my hallway when I just stopped whilst I realized. Is it all pointless? Or are the points too fine to see? How do you cope?

I just see it has three possible outcomes. 1. End of consciousness. You return to the state before being conceived. You only know what transpired before your birth through what others tell you. You were not conscious in the sixteen hundreds, you will not be conscious in the year fifty three thirteen. Awareness of the Universe is over. Dust to dust, ashes to ashes. This is actually not a horrible state. You will not be aware of this, so ergo you can't really complain. Suffering at the age of eighty and higher is over, watching the world move on without you is over. If this is the outcome I suggest you cut the depression and simply enjoy every ticking moment you can. As you will be in a state of non being forever soon enough considering how old the universe is and how it will fare from possible entropy. 2. There is consciousness after death. But it is nothing like what the accounts of religious texts has led you all to believe. It is as alien as this world was to you upon entering it. There is no loving all knowing presence unless you create it as a crutch in your hopes to avoid whatever fear this state of being generates. Hopefully former family members have been keeping tabs on you. Or that other consciousness inhabiting this realm are friendly enough to give you information they have gleened so you can survive much like how humanity has to rely upon each other while being alive. There are rules and consquences. Also there might be some serious threats from deranged egos who have gone mad due to time and confusion. Life was the dream and now the hard reality of enternity sits upon your feckless arms. Or your subconsciouness provides the cage while you stumble through your life like a looping VCR reel. Suggesting throw off the depression in life and enjoy every day to the fullest just incase. 3. There is a God. NDE's have recounted meeting an all powerful loving presences upon death. This being is infinitely full of humor, paitence, and caring. The reality of life is but a fleeting test to give you character and purpose. The afterlife is a glory of being on the outside of time and space and all has been revealed, you are an ageless consciousness that has taken the road of life many times to participate in the grand adventure. Knowing true love as a parent, pain, fear, exultation, music and culture from numerous societies populating the universe since its dawn. These memories come crashing home as you enter into God's presence. Or perhaps reincarnation is a reset to free yourself from the regrets of your former self. Or perhaps another chance to reach a different level of understanding. Religious text is but fog and misrepresenting the actual existence awaiting you. Those who committed great atrocities are punished to live out the lives of each of their victims. To see and feel the terror they inspired until penance is complete. Once this done the choice to reincarnate is now present to cease being a Monster and to restart as a new soul. All of three is conjecture. But the one principle is present in the third option. There is a God. The God who created the monsters of Jurrasic age to the wonders of the heavens and earth. Either way I'd toss off the depression and get to Living. Embracing death while alive and healthy ? Well you'll spend a lot time being dead. Might as well enjoy the time you got, especially with the infinite looming but a failed heartbeat away.

    • You just have to not care. You have to come to fact that you have a set amount of time in this world and it will end. You chose to live life the way you did . Be happy, content , and just die

I have worked in a place where I deal with death a lot. I have seen the young die too soon and old die too late. But more often than not I see selfishness oozing out of family members. They only think about keeping that person alive, no matter what it takes. But more often than not it means that person suffers for much longer than they should. Death is about the person experiencing it. It is natural and can be a good thing. Every single one of us dies. Why are we so shocked when it happens? We are attached to that person and think about what we are losing. Instead think about all that that person has gained in their time here (long or short), Coping is an adjustment to life without that person. It will pass, think about the good times
A person only truly dies the last time anyone says their name
Life is meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but it shouldn't stop you from enjoying what you like to do before you're rotting in a coffin

            • Life means what you make it out to be. That's the beauty of it having no apparent point. You get to find out what makes your life meaningful. You are the master of your reality, and that's immensely powerful. Extending life comes in steps, and there are people climbing them.
