Reading the forums lately has shown me, and I'm sure some of you, all the misinformation out there. So I am creating this thread to set the record straight. I will do my best to include everything but some help would be appreciated. 1. [b]Beta[/b] - 9 days on PS, 5 on Xbox *Clarification - [b][u]UPDATE 2[/u][/b] Thanks to Majbeefy for sharing a link - http://wallstcheatsheet.com/technology/want-to-play-destiny-next-week-heres-how.html/ Stating the beta will last until 23:59 PDT 7/27 [b][u]UDPATE[/u][/b] - Thank you to Metabyte for providing more information. It is confirmed the 27th is a playable day. We can only go off what is posted by Bungie. It is therefore incorrect to assume the servers go down 7/27 00:01. Counting all the days stated includes *EDIT Days posted are PST or -8 GMT or -7 GMT since we are on daylight savings* PS - 17, 18, 19, 20 Maintenance - 21, 22 Both - 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 Since there is no time stated when exactly the servers shut down, the 27th must included be in the count. 2. [b]Beta Codes[/b] - Beta codes do not email today. Today you choose which console you would like to receive the code for. [b][u]UPDATE 2[/u][/b] Some users are saying their code will be available on the 24th. Remember the beta begins on the 17th PDT for PS and the 23rd for PDT. Adjust for whatever time zone you are in! Official bungie response to days not on the 23rd. Once the selection site is live visit here to select your console - http://www.bungie.net/en/User/redeemedcodes [b][u]**Warning** - Make sure you select the correct version or your code will NOT work[/u][/b] 3. [b]Exclusive content[/b] - PS gets a set of armor for each class, an extra strike - the Dust Palace, Exodus Blue - PVP map, 3 weapons and 3 ship skins (Thanks to Tibbaryllis2 for the clarification) - length of exclusivity is yet to be determined. 4. [b]Expansions[/b] - Both xbox and ps will receive the expansions at the same time, when is still unknown. PS gets extra content, yet to determined, exclusive until fall 2015. NOTE - this does not imply a year of exclusivity since we do not know when the expansions will be released. 5. [b]Motes of Light/Light stat[/b] - Motes of light are currency acquired once you reach level 20. The light Stat, which is on end game armor, increases your effective level based on how much you have. 6.
