      • Everyone who loves hand cannons has to remember that there are CoD people in the forums and CoD people only like to spray and pray, they don't like the thrill of fanning a revolver and popping headshots. Playing enough Borderlands and BF will change your mind dramatically about the beauty of pistols specifically revolvers. Patience and skill is required for a revolver to be effective.

        • I've posted elsewhere on concerning this topic, but the Handcannons were terribad in the alpha. It was nigh impossible to use them in any way shape or form during PvP. I was never killed by one, nor was I able to kill anyone even after using them for 3-4 games. The main issue lies in their god awful iron sights, however, the slow fire rate, low damage (compared to other weapons of a similar fire rate i.e. Shotguns), poor reload speed, and high recoil just combined to make them entirely unusable. They need iron sights that I can actually see, not those crap transparent hologram things, and higher damage to become anywhere close to viable.

          • Idk I stayed away from the pulse and scout rifles because I liked having an automatic weapon. I really liked upgrading he hand cannon tho lol. It was great fully levelled up in PvE, if was a 1 shot kill on most enemies if you shot them in the head after it's fully levelled up.

          • I voted handcannon because I think they need more love on the broader scale, but pulse rifles were equally poor, although for more vague reasons. General consensus is that the skill cannons were subpar, which is true. The most common complaint, however, is there l ow capacity. Will someone please respond and explain why this is a really stupid complaint? Don't have time before I go to work to do it. What hand cannons really needed was a niche. They weren't special. Same purpose as a scout rifle, precision mid range combat, but with a third of the clip size, same reload speed, and negligible difference in damage and accuracy. I think to really set them apart they need something unique, and I think that answer is dual wielding its the only weapon in the game it makes sense with and it's the only weapon in the game than I feel really needs it.

              • Hand cannon was awesome in PVE in crucible not so much. I still got kills with it thou. Hand cannons ain't good for Nubs with no aim.

                    • - Pulse Rifles > Auto Rifles (for sure) - Fusion Rifles had to charge, so I can see why some don't like that one, but it does A LOT of damage. You just have to get the ones that have a short charge time! - The Sniper Rifles were "Ehh.." I mainly likely the ones that had an elemental effect, those seem to give me easier 1 headshot kills, while the non-element took 2 shots to the head. - Didn't really like the feel of shot guns (That's just me) but I noticed a lot of people using them in PVP. - Scout Rifles were the worse to me, what was it? like a semi-automatic mid-range rifle? or something??.. I don't know, but after two times using it, that was it for me. - Hand Cannons by far was the best to me (Hunter, so I guess that's why). It just felt so smooth, head shots were so easy with that (close-mid range).. I loved it. [Which also makes me second think on using the Golden Gun, because I was Pro Bladedancer before the Alpha]. You also forgot 2 weapons.. The Machine Gun and the Rocket Launcher. I thought those were awesome too. - Machine Gun pretty much took everything out in the area, it felt better using it on a Titan than any other class, because I was hoping to use it on Hunter, but the Rocket Launcher meshed better with my Hunter. - Rocket Launcher.. what can I say, this one was simply awesome, especially the elemental ones! it just needs a better capacity - like +2-3 more.. I only used the arc damage Rocket Launcher and launching those little balls of electricity on the Spider tanks legs was just bliss.. a well fit long range weapon for a Hunter that wants to keep Distance. I played all 3 guardians and I observed they all have a distinct feeling with the various weapons, but I wont ramble on about that.. Anyway, [b]MY[/b] final verdict on the weapons: [b]Hand Cannon > Pulse Rifle > Auto Rifle >Scout Rifle[/b] (is scout even a primary? i dont remember, hardly used it lol) [b]Sniper Rifle > Fusion Rifle > Shotgun[/b] [b]Machine Gun > Rocket Launcher[/b]

                      • I just didn't like the charge times on the fusion rifle. I, however, don't play a lot of FPS, so given more time with them, I may grow to enjoy the fusion rifles.

                      • I didnt venture out on to many different guns. I already had a good idea on which guns to use. But I think the handcannon is the worst mainly due to it being in the main slot.

                            • When you fusion rifle right, it's a 1 shot kill on any player in the crucible. Bad thing is, it's hard to fusion rifle right.

                              • Hand cannons, they're amazing for PVE gameplay as they shred enemies with headshots etc. But online they seem a bit cumbersome and not powerful enough.

                                  • Voted shotgun because of the first shot recoil. The only other type with bad recoil was an auto rifle with 900RPM. Hand cannons were underwhelming. Rockets were underwhelming when compared to a critical sniper hit. Can't think of much else that isn't the way it is due to balancing, like fusion rifle charge time.

                                      Although I do agree with most people that hand cannons were a little underpowered (or simply not balanced) for the type of weapon it was in the alpha, seeing the size of other hand cannons in numerous trailers tells me that the guns we were given in the alpha build is just the tip of the ice berg (which all of you already know).
