Dark Souls PvP Builds

Just a thread to put good pvp builds for Dark Souls in. I've been wanting to get into it for a while and need a little inspiration.

  • Dark Souls 1 or 2? Most of my favorite builds are DS1, but that is unfortunately dead. Currently using an INT build with two Magic Blue Flame Swords +5. Best thing about them is that they're both sword and catalyst at the same time. Wield one in each hand and buff both of them with Crystal Magic Weapon. Then powerstance that shit and launch a bunch of spells off mid-fight. Because you're wielding what looks like ordinary swords, most people don't expect you to cast a crystal soul spear or soul greatsword out of nowhere.

    • I forget all my stats exactly, but I have 50 strength 30 dexterity. My favorite build is Ironclad Leggings, club +10, Pyromancy Glove +10, Raw Avelyn +10 with lightning bolts, Chloranthy ring +2, Third Dragon Ring, Royal Soldier's Ring +2, and Ring of Blades +2. I can usually win a decent amount of PvP battles with it. My other favorite build is basically the same, except minus the leggings, and swapping the club for a Poison Channeler's Trident +5. While the Trident breaks easily, you can usually finish a guy off before it breaks if you know what you're doing. It also obviously has a buff move on it when two handing it and using the power attack. The best part though is that if you roll and then do a light attack, the head of the Trident will spin. If you make contact with an opponent with it, it actually connects with them several times, meaning an almost immediate build up of poison. The last one I often use just for the hell of it is the Thief's Set with a Buckler +10 and a Bleed Bandit's Knife +10. The knife absolutely sucks if you just try attacking with it, but if you can manage a parry with the Buckler, or a backstab, it deals MASSIVE damage. You know, except against Great Magic Barrier Full Havels (© Assholes of PvP).

      • Whenever I've went against another player I just sorta do whatever. No-one ever seems to expect a throwing knife for some reason.

Stats were wrong, now there fixed SL: 245 (I leveled up this high to counter those high level builds, not going to level up anymore.) Vigor: 50 (Lots of Health!) Endurance: 26 (Need that Stamina!) Vitality: 26 (Medium Armor.) Attunement: 43 (7 Slots, extra spells.) Strength: 30 (Carry Greatsword.) Dexterity: 30 (Carry Greatsword.) Adaptability: 11 (Kind of pointless to me, but still put 5 points in it.) Intelligence: 17 (Pyromancy) Faith: 65 (Scaling and Miracles) Weapons: Right Hand: Lightning Defender Greatsword +5 (Great Faith weapon, S scaling in Faith.) Pyromancy Flame +10 (Pyromancy is very fun for PvP) Lightning Dragon Chime +5 (Best Chime for Miracles) Left Hand: Dark Rebel Greatshield (Best elemental shield, with any infusion it's 100% reduction.) Armor (Varies, depending on what looks right. This is my main one.) Head: Dragon Sage Hood Chest: Heide Knight Chainmail Arms: Steel Gauntlets Legs: Havel Leggings (Purely for aesthetics) Rings: Third Dragon Ring (Duh... More Health, Stamina, and Equip Load.) Sun Ring (Helps stop Stun Lock) Southren Ritual Band (10 Spell slots) Life Ring (More Health!) Spells: Forbidden Sun (Very fast!) Great Heal (For people who heal on me.) Wrath of Gods (Ganking or Havels) Great Magic Barrier (More Elemental Defence) Sacred Oath (More Attack and Defence)

          • If you're playing Dark Souls 2, then forget about making a specific build. Soul memory matches you up with those who are at 15 million souls accumulated altogether and beyond. If you cap yourself then you'll be annihilated by those who continued leveling. If you're playing Dark Souls 1, then the multiplayer is dead on various days.
