Pre-Disappointment

Before I start, I am 20 years of age and started gaming with the PS One, Xbox, Playstation 2, Xbox 360, then PC, then bought the PS4 right after it came out, I don't discriminate between the consoles because after owning consoles I now prefer PC gaming overall, but the ps4 (and im assuming the xbox one has the same qualities) is very nice to game on. I was following this game when I heard of it and it looks very promising. But I simply CAN NOT understand why this isn't releasing subsequently on PC. It's a complete fit for the PC in the aspect of it being an FPS/MMO with competitive potential. We have been dying for just a single Halo release on PC since Halo 2, which we never received, and now this promising and quality game is also seeming to skip the PC community. I believe you as a company have forgotten what has helped the Halo series thrive, the COMMUNITY, and when I reference the community, im referring to the competitive gamers that always look for improvements (not the trolls and squeakers). The PC community is notorious for being loyal to games that support the PC community (take notes from counter strike and battlefield 2) and give them the proper tools to keep the game interesting and ever changing. I can respect the fact that the consoles hold a bigger potential for making money but I believe if you can show dedication to the PC community and work with us, we can make this amazing game last. Please consider this, and to the console gamers, enjoy.

  • It's a pretty easy answer. Since PC is a superior experience, console companies know that if given the choice, you will choose to play the game on PC. Therefore, in order to keep people buying consoles, they pay game companies big money to keep it on consoles first (like we saw with GTA V). Especially with new IPs, developers need this money in order to do what the want to do. I can confidently say destiny would not be as good as it's going to be without Activision's 500 million dollar boost. Of course, if given the choice, Bungie would develop for PCs and Macs as this is where they got their start, but until Destiny sales allow Bungie to develop completely independently, we probably will not see Destiny on PC.
