7 RepliesI really hate anyone who is antigun. I mean are you people really so retarded that you do not know that our guns are to protect us from a tyrannical government? Without our guns our government could easily make life a living hell. Without our guns the US would have without a doubt been invaded by foreign powers at least once(Japan WW2). Our guns save more lives than they take. If you outlaw guns then only outlaws have guns. Anyone who is antigun obviously does not have a single clue about how the criminal world works. Criminals do not follow laws anyway you think they are going to turn their guns in or stop procuring guns? Nope all it will do is leave Innocent US citizens at the hands of criminals and possibly tyranny

With the way "pro-gun" people are nowadays in America, even the slightest alternate way is considered anti-gun. Want to advocate for mental checks before someone can hold a gun? You're anti-gun. Want classes on how to properly shoot, hold, and clean a gun before someone buys a gun? You're anti-gun. Want some form of registration to ensure crazy people and criminals don't get a gun? You're anti-gun. The gun debate is so polarized at this point, there's no real point in talking about it because even if you're the most neutral of them all, or live in Switzerland and have your opinion about guns, and the people on the right will just place you with the people on the left because that's how bad it has become in America.

It is not racist to speak facts about crime. If you look at FBI crime stats you see that black males are responsible for 60% of robberies and 50% of murders. They only make up 6% of the US population. If we can correct this thug/rap/glorifyingcrime sub culture with in the black community and lower black males crime rate to where it should be (around 6%) then we can literally eliminate 44% of murder and 54% of robberies in the US. I am not being racist and saying all black males do this I am just pointing out a factual problem that needs to be acknowledged. We can literally cut the murder rate in half yet we are all too scared to talk about race and acknowledge a problem. SMH Pansies And the people who think me bringing this up is racist are delusional morons. You lower that high crime rate for black males and you will see significant improvements in black neighborhoods and cities. Business owners could set up shop there without worrying about being robbed and killed. The neighborhoods and yards would be cleaner with less abandoned buildings.. Kids could play outside without getting riddled with bullets. But no let's just call anyone who suggests ways to curb violence and fix the black community A RACIST LOL

I don't advocate unlimited, unrestricted, and unmonitored access to every kind of firearm under the sun like some of the batshit insane conservatives on this site. That being said, if people desire a weapon for self defense/home defense, I think they should absolutely be entitled to that right. As for regulation, I don't think it's as black and white as slapping a piece of legislation on a certain type of weaponry. The current US/UK mental health institution is an absolute -blam!-ing farce, and access to free, efficient mental health care is absolutely paramount if you want to see any modicum of a reduction in gun crime.

I'm pro more effective gun control. I believe guns are very good to have for personal defence, but control should be more focused on licensing and keeping them out of the hands of known criminals, dangerously, mentally unstable people (i.e, people known to be mentally aggressive, not every one with depression or schizophrenia), and gangs, instead of trying to ban certain assault weapons and limiting ammo. As for the whole 'protection' against tyranny idea, the US military is the most heavily funded and powerful military force on earth, who have spent the better part if half a decade warring with militarised nations, lately being able to wipe out whole militias with glorified RC planes. America's civilian populace is heavily spread out and severely politically/socially/ethnically divided, and would not be able to form an effective unified militia against the US military, were they to become totalitarian. In short, you guys would have two hopes: Bob hope and no hope. The best way to prevent tyranny imo, is to maintain a free media with little to no censorship, prevent extremist parties from coming in to power, and maintaining a good relationship between the civilians and the military.

26 RepliesGuns are a tool. A tool created to kill. They are more dangerous than scissors and cars because they are more CAPABLE and specifically made to kill. This is why we arm our military with guns and not swords. This is why we arm our helicopters with machine guns and missile launchers and don't just kamikaze them. This is a fact the progun side doesn't admit out of pure pride or ignorance. As for anti-gun people. Guns kill people and so do many other things. I understand why you may think we need to get rid of all the guns, but you're wrong on that. We have a mental problem more so than a gun problem. That doesn't mean some gun regulation isn't or won't be needed. However, you won't stop criminals at all so you're not really doing anything...but disarming gun nut extremists(who aren't really a danger) and law abiding citizens. Both sides are biased and stupid for the most part. One despises guns the other wants to suck them off. Both consist of mostly small minded people.
