Animals experience racism too.
I was at the mall last Saturday and I wandered into the pet store because i had time to kill before i went home. i was looking at the cute bunnies and the kittens that were up for adoption. The little baby cats were adorable and so fuzzy. anyway i was looking at two beautiful little black cats and there was a sign. apparently black cats have a hard time getting adopted. -_-
now id like to punch who ever made up that racist superstition about black cats. its not fair. how would they feel if they were an orphan with black skin and nobody wanted them because of their skin colour. anyway the kittens were adorable. I'm planning to go back to the mall soon. i have a feeling they'll still be there >,> so i can take a picture for you guys.
so have you ever encountered animal racism? what was your reaction? did you stand up for them?
[spoiler]on a completely unrelated side note, i saw a beta at the pet store. i had no clue they had them. he came with a fedora, an acne ridden face and bad posture. it was a fine specimen. [/spoiler]

I hate it when people say that Pitbulls are violent, now thats an example of (I don't even know what you would call it, animal breedism maybe?) Yes, a good percentage of dogs in animal facilities are pitbulls, and the ones that are aggresive are that way because of the way they were treated by their previous owners.

1 ReplyI have a big black cat. His name is Bob Marley. It's not what you think though. When I got him I didn't know what to name him so my brother called him Bob. Later I came up with Marley. He's a big, needy scaredy cat too.
