Never really found out if it's going to have local split screen play. Bungie games are known for it, and I'm really hoping it does. Anyone know if it will for sure?

I hope it will be soo bad, bungie has been really avoiding this topic,i hope they clear it up at E3

Edited by lgironda: 6/15/2014 7:34:10 PMTomare realmente que a Bungie faça o Destiny com o modo coop off splitscreen
-
No, it's not a technical thing either; they just want to sell more copies of the game, and that's that.
-
Unlikely as its an online open world rpg. Having split screen would reduce the overall sales and require either a single account to have 2 active characters simultaneously which would make glimmer farming for bots easier or to have 2 accounts logged in at the same time on the same machine also making it easier for glimmer farming. All online rpgs suffer from one sort of bot farming or another.

Yes I could have sworn one of the reasons they delayed the launch date was because they were figuring out a way to make this work

Sir we can only hope we can only hope

Edited by xSwiftVengeancex: 5/21/2014 6:10:55 AMShort, sweet, to the point.

Short answer. No, because the graphics are to good. Most good looking games don't have split screen because it puts to much strain on the the engine.
-
It won't. Games with RPG elements almost never have split screen. You also have to realize that split screen makes the console run two versions of the game at the same time, and sometimes that's just not possible
-
This applies to other developers as well but if they don't flaunt about it or even mention it then it most likely isn't included. They just turn a blind eye to anything that could hurt sales, its a PR thing.

if you go to youtube an Search "Destiny Updates" this guy will onform you on all the latest and greatest about Destiny an I find it really helpful to me and to my other friends that subscrubed to him also! he Tells you about easter eggs. new Beta info and also a 44 minute long video of all we possibly know about Destiny so far! and Splitscreen he says is avaiable to all the gamemodes except for PvP and thats the only singleplayer mode. everything else in the game he claims has the ability to Drop-In Drop-Out. CO-op

I think it will. If the answer was no, we would've probably gotten an answer by now.
-
I haven't heard anything solid, either. I'll be really disappointed if it isn't.

Edited by El Tocadiscos PR: 5/21/2014 2:46:46 AMBungie has been dodging the question, i hope its available but right now it remains uknown.

Edited by Rex084: 5/20/2014 9:07:38 PMHalo is known for split screen, not Bungie games. There is a bit of difference there. As for whether or not Destiny will have split screen, we don't know. Bungie has been suspiciously tight lipped on the subject, and looking at the game and how we've seen it played, how we know they want the story to unfold, and the lack of any type of info on it, I would guess it will not be included.
-
It is has been confirmed to not have local split screen
-
I really hope it does. My brother and I make a deadly combo in most split screen RPGs
-
I wasn't even worried about this until everyone started asking and got no response. It is definitely not a technical issue if they can or cannot... they definitely can. FPS and MMO games have been doing 4 way split screen online and local on older consoles for years without a problem.
-
Not sure, but I hope so.
-
I really hope so, but part of me says no.
-
I really want it to but I dont think that it will
-
It will only have online split-screen.
-
Nope. Bungie still refuses to say anything on the topic of splitscreen.
-
I really hope so
