If you look around the web enough, you'll notice certain concept art depicting mysterious figures with black smoke and pyramids being a major part of their apparent aesthetic. We know there is a fifth enemy type, but nothing of them has been revealed. Perhaps this is an image depicting the fifth enemy species and, if concept art is any indicator, they appear to be able to control other enemies (in the "Wallpapers" section, an image of numerous Fallen and Cabal emitting a green glow and black smoke are seen together).
