Fate/Zero Bullshit

There is no JUSTIFIABLE reason for Kiritsugu to blow up that plane just yet. He could have had Natalia pilot the plane into the water, had her escape and then blow the plane up. He could have had her jump OUT OF the plane and had some sort of cushion underneath for her land safely. No matter how you look at it, blowing it up right then and there is absolutely retarded. HAPPY -blam!-ING MOTHERS DAY KIRITSUGU!

The point was that blowing up the plane before it landed carried the least amount of risk, that one death could prevent the death of thousands. There was no possible escape for the zombie bees as they would have all died in a fiery explosion. Landing the plane or opening one of the doors do jump out means that the bees have a chance to escape and start zombifying the world. Also it was aired on mothers day on purpose, the episode where Alexander dies was also aired on the anniversary of his death.

Not really <.< Blowing up the plane was the right move, if those bees got out and started Zombifying everyone then it would have been very bad .-. Also, this thread made me panic and think it was mother's day. Then I checked and it was apparently over a month ago. Lol.

            • The point is that any other option has a risk to it. If even one of the bee escapes, many will end up dying. Kiritsugu isn't the type to take that risk. One death to save many more lives is preferable to taking a risk to save them all. Blowing up the plane was the simplest solution to end it, no matter how you look at it. The longer the plane stayed, the higher chance a bee could escape, so the options you provided could have resulted in the death of thousands.

            • They wanted to establish Kiritsugu as someone who won't take unnecessary risks. Look at the final fight between Saber and Lancer:
Yeah Saber could have killed him, but the same could be said for Lancer. Both seemed to be on even footing and it only takes one screw-up on either Servant's part for the fight to end right then and there. Kiritsugu didn't want to take such a risk, so he forged a contract with Kayneth to get the job done in the most efficient way possible and with minimal risk of Saber being offed. He also had Maiya murder Kayneth and Sola in cold blood. You can never be too careful I guess.
• They had to establish him as someone who can get shit done no matter what. It worked.
