Community Carnage: Charity Brawl - Concluded
Jump online, join the fray, and earn some money for charity.
I'm reaching out to the community to have a little fun and do a little good for the world. I am hosting what I hope to be the first of many fun skirmishes to battle it out Reach-style on Saturday, May 10th at 10 AM PDT (1 PM EDT, 5 PM UTC, 6 PM BST). Each of two teams will be representing a charity and will be fighting to earn their respective charities a larger donation. I will donate $50 to each charity at the conclusion of the match, with the winning team snatching an additional $50 towards their charitable organization. The Teams The Broiling Blue will be playing for the Children's Miracle Network, an organization focused on providing care and equipment to hospitalized children. They're a scrappy bunch who fight for their freedom to cut sandwiches either diagonal or down the middle, having been oppressed and their cut-direction rights stripped from them for centuries. The Raging Reds have the crest of Child's Play emblazoned on their flag, a charity bringing toys and entertainment to hospitals and therapy facilities. The Reds come from a long lineage of pencil chewers who are out of said pencils and need other outlets for their stress. No one really knows why they're hear, but they are and they're asking for a fight. The Battle The battleground is an unpredictable place and no man truly knows his fate. Never-the-less, a classic battle or series of skirmishes should be expected, and ye best prepare. We'll be playing some Reach; just standard maps and game types, but there's always the possibility of some post-game shenanigans, too. Rules and Registration Teams don't have to be decided ahead of time, so drop me a friend request @ Prometheus25 and show up Saturday. I may or may not get around to accepting the requests until this weekend, so don't panic. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated at any time and, due to the charitable nature of this program, will earn you swift justice.
