The release has brought a lot of interesting stuff to the table, games, ideas, angry fans, and abbreviated names for the next gen consoles. PlayStation 4 is PS4 and Xbox One is XBone.
I find XBone to be pretty dumb. Why not call it the X1 (also less letters to type; not implying that we're lazy) Just saying. Calling the Xbox One the X1 sounds a lot more interesting.
What do you all think?

I typically use X1, XB1, or XBO. Xbone is so common, even Xbox fans use it. I don't care if anyone's trying to insult the Xbox One by using it. Let the children play their little games. While the gamers play their games.

It's the third Xbox. XXXbox.

I like The xx.
-
I like XBone
-
Xbone: Xb(ox)one Who even gives a shit anyway?
-
I always have used "X1".

XB1 works. Because it was Bungie and the XBox that made gaming a hobby for me, unlike the PlayStation, which never brought me more than half an hour's amusement. When the XBox One was explained, I had already decided that I wanted one at some point. And now, I do.

Edited by frankw00ds: 5/13/2014 1:29:33 AMXbone is hilarious. And accurate. As an owner of 3, had I not been so persistent with Microsoft who insisted it wasn't their fault that my console came with no sound right out the box, I'd be $1000 down the hole. I seriously hate microshill. But anyway, I did ended up getting boned when the thing chopped up my dead rising disc and they refused to replace it.

Doesn't have the same ring to it.
-
Because it ass pounded anyone who actually bought it. Seriously though, everyone calls the Playstaion 4 the PS4, so I call the Xbox One the XB1 respectively.
-
I call it the X1. XBone finds its roots in a negative connotation.
-
It just sounds like a wrestler's name to me.
-
Because of all the negative attention it got before the reversed policies, people gave it that nickname to mock it. Even after the shift, the name stuck around.

Xbone is a better name
