Flood, I have a story to tell.

I'll start by saying that people probably won't believe me. I know that if somebody told me this, I'd think they were crazy or trying to get attention. If I read it on the internet, I'd just think it was stupid. So why am I bothering with this thread? I need to tell this to people. I'm not looking for answers, because I probably won't like them either way. I'm just telling my story (mostly) anonymously. Some people may remember me talking about this in the past, but I don't think I've ever told the whole truth.
In 2007 I had an odd dream. It was the first of many, a continuing 'story' of dreams based around a mythical war. I didn't have one of these every night, but every couple of nights. Then it would stop for a while, then restart. Or maybe I'd have another, just as a one-off. But anyway, the story wasn't in order. I found that the pieces were mostly all over the place, with that event being dreamt before the one that happened before it, etc. It continued off and on like that until the Christmas holidays of 2009. The next year I would start year 9 of school, or 'Ninth Grade.' At some point I had realized that one particular 'character' stopped appearing after a particular point. I didn't know why, just that I was a part of a group which included her, then suddenly it was split up. People hated me and she was nowhere to be found. Anyway, one night I had the dream that explained it. I was on a rooftop in our city (not a real city), with my best friend in front of me on the edge of the roof. He wasn't a 'real person,' so to speak. In the 'story' he was my best friend, but he didn't exist outside of that. So there he was, threatening to jump. According to what he was saying, we'd witnessed his girlfriend being murdered in front of us. Something horrible had happened in a raid on a stronghold. We'd been set up, or something.
If people have read this far, thankyou. I'll try and cut this short.
He jumped. I jumped after him and managed to fly him up to another roof, crashing into the sides as we went because I'm not very strong. We sat there and talked it out then. I managed to convince him life was still worth living. She was gone, but we could still fix things. One day everything would be fine. The dream finished with him opening his pocket watch and looking at a picture of her face. Two weeks later in real life, I met her for the first time. She sat a few seats in front of me in class and everything went upside down. Not only was she real, but whatever horrible thing that happened to her, hadn't happened. She was real. Same name, same personality. Same laugh, same voice. Had no memory of me at all. For the next three years I kept having the dreams off and on. I've tried finding an explanation to things I've seen there and the conversations I've had with people in my own imagination, but I've never came up with anything conclusive.
So yeah, I'm not looking for answers. I just thought I'd share that. If you took the time to read it, share your thoughts. Call me crazy, claim I'm lying or spout some bullshit about psychics. I realize this probably isn't open to much discussion, but I've never talked about it to a large group before. I'm fairly sure I'm insane.

 • Don't worry, it's a valid psychological event. What happened was that the memories developed during sleep were mailable enough that when this girl came along she seemed to be exactly the same as the dream version. It's sort of like the time I hallucinated strongly without being under the influence of anything, you see something that looks enough like what you think it is, and your mind fills the gaps and tells you it's a real thing. I'm not calling you crazy by a longshot, it just shows you have a very powerful mind :D Do you often perceive voices in your dreams as actual sounds? Or just memories of sounds? And if you had the skill, could you paint portraits of people and scenes from your dreams?
