I second what the burrito guy said. Look into the game yourself & decide. Watch some gameplay videos if you have too. I wanted to get the game because I kept hearing how hard it was & wanted a challenge but also the whole medieval fantasy setting was also a big plus since I adore that kind of stuff. My first souls game was Dark souls & I fell in love with it & also learned to love the rage it gave me. But dont expect it to be some fast action Devil may cry game or anything similar, the fighting takes patience & skill which will be earned as you progress through the games. The story is rich but only if you dedicate the time to immerse yourself in it to understand all of the lore. It is definitely is not the game for a casual gamer to pick up. But itll be a great experience if you put time into it. Edit: also if you want my opinion between Dark souls 1 & 2. The first games story is much more amazing, the characters are very memorable, the game has a darker atmosphere which makes it all the more better & the music is much better. But its fighting is much slower & clunky feeling & the games character customization is poor, your characters face will usually always look like butter ass cheeks. Dark souls 2 has amazing improved combat, everything feels smoother & much faster, you feel like a ninja at times. The character customization has improved & you can make your character look pretty decent now. & clothes are all flappy now & flow in the wind which is kinda cool. But thats about all I like. The graphics are indeed better but it is a much brighter game removing the dark atmosphere the first game had which is a bummer. & The story/characters are pretty forgettable which kinda bummed me out. But in the end they both are still awesome & are definitely worth the buy.

Its a good game, it just has problems that keep me from calling it a good Souls game. Its still one of the better games to come out in a while though.
