If you have played the Halo series then you see how it was centered around the lone wolf. That is who Master Chief was, the lone wolf. He was always the only one to make it out. Now with Destiny we see a complete switch of gameplay. We see from Deej's last weekly update the importance they are placing upon fireteams. It does make sense because they want a completely new game. They did make sure, however, that you still have the ability to play as a lone wolf, but obviously to become Legend you will need a team. Instead of making a post on which way you plan on playing, I want to know which way you think is better? Is playing lone wolf better since you don't have to rely on anyone else and can get on when you want, or is playing with a team better since you get your friends to help out?

I'm terrible at everything in games... except supporting other people. so ja teams. <(˚¬˚)>

I have to go both ways. *Raises little finger to mouth* Yes the Chief was restricted to single player/lone wolf and it was epic. But I like the idea of a team warfare. People will drop in and out, leaving you alone to fight the good fight solo. Others will jump in at the right time and pull your ass out of the fire. I admit it, I'm bi-warfare.

Edited by yay for physics: 4/22/2014 3:24:31 AMI love both styles of gameplay. Lone wolf is great for exploring and just doing your own thing. But Destiny is hard and a fireteam will allow you to go further than you would be able to on your own. It may take awhile, but after I find a few players who I get along great with and share the same interests with, I'll probably end up shifting from a lone wolf to being in a fireteam more often. EDIT: Just realized I didn't actually answer your questions. Playing with a team that you get along with is better than lone wolf which is better than playing with a team you don't get along with.

Edited by OutHouse: 4/20/2014 5:29:20 AMIts more fun with friends. Cuz u can talk about discovery. Tackle situations together. Teams arebalways superior to lone wolf in combat. Navy seals. Trained to fight as a unit. Not solo.( just one ex) That and taking on bosses and what have you With your friends is awesome. Helping them or tem helping you. I find gaming with friends more enjoyable IF u have friends who play consitantly That being said. I prefer grinding/ crafting alone or with someone who wants to grind something repeatedly is cool too Edit; sorry for typos. On phone 1 am not gonna fix. ....

I mean Bungie, and the Traveler have made it clear that facing enemies will be extremely hard. Not only are we, as Guardians giftes with special powers to fight our enemy, we're strongly suggested to stick with a Fireteam as it will be extrenely hard to stick as a loner, even if you finish off a boss, you'll only attrack more enemy attention with your Guardian scent.

I'm lone wolf

I like playing with a team that work well together it feels awesome to talk tactics while clearing out areas. Calling for sniper support stuff like that. But I also enjoy lone wolfing occasionally
-
Well halo was centered around line wolf which made multiplayer very noob associated. So destiny will make it so multiple people actually helps. Depends on the type of game

That's me!

How could you become legend if nobody witnessed your adventures? I think it does not really make sense.

Reach was a little bit different cus 99% of the Campaign was with a Noble and usually someone else as well. Ya if I had friends I would go for teams.. But I dont.. So no choice lone wolf

Yeah you could play it solo, and it was a "single player game," but you can play Destiny solo as well.

I know we need a team but it would be amazing if there was that one lone wolf player who just never died and survived every raid and strike the game threw at us and he/she fought them off alone. That would be a legend and it's possible

I think i'll play both, depends on my mood. Sometimes you want to be alone so then its better to play as lone wolf. But i think playing as a team gives better results in loot and so on because you can do raids and do harder mobs more easily, i still hope there is some challenge in raids because too easy games are not gonna be fun after a while because there is nothing to accomplish. But overal i would play with a team the most to make the most fun out of the game.

Both ways work, but I think I'd prefer a Fireteam.
