You know the one, the one you thought you would never get past. Since we've all had that frustrating experience of dying over, and over, and over and over again. Only to be beaten down time and time again..... but then the chosen time comes... Heart beating, hands sweaty, and then finally, BOOM! Did you do it? You did! You really did! So share with me your boss fight struggles and finally beating that one.
For me it was Ornstein and Smough, just recently. It was so exhilarating, and so damn rewarding. I even solo'd it, which made victory just that much sweeter.
I was too hype when I killed the smelter demon the first time.

The Smelter Demon. Personally, I thought he quite possibly was the hardest boss in Dark Souls 2, followed closely by the Royal Rat Authority. I would roll away from his attacks, but they still seemed to connect. I tried all different types of resins, pyromancies, and bombs, but he didn't seem to care about them at all. I even tried summoning Lucatiel a few times, but she would die before even getting a third of his health down. Eventually I managed to win by throwing on a gyrm shield (which up until that point I had never used and only then realized it had 100 flame blocking), which kind of felt like cheating. But hey, I'm just freakin' glad I beat the guy, because if I hadn't used that shield, I don't think I ever really would have.

For me it was this bastard right here.

I killed Ornstein and Smough first try The gargoyles on the other hand...
-
I can't even remember the last time I played a game a decently challenging boss...
-
I finally beat the Didact in Halo 4 the other day.

Lost sinner.

Bhunivelze. Has 4 phases, each increasing in difficulty. Deals a shit ton of damage. Cannot be damaged in 4th phase unless staggered.

Ancient dragon from dark soul, that dreaded insta kill AOE flame attack, not like everything else of his totally isn't a one hit kill, but the second you see him preparing to fly over the arena to do his attack, you basically have to see it coming from a mile away to have even the slightest chance of surviving.

Oh my god my choice was ornstein and smough too. I also soloed them, black knight sword and grass shield with ring of favor. No other armor :p
-
Sephiroth both forms from Final Fantasy 7, I was really young at the time too so it made it all the better.
-
The ancient dragon from Dark souls 2 I tried for 2-3 hours the first day and I couldnt beat him. Then I said I'll try it again tomorrow. Then the next day I beat him on the 1st try and I was like "yo WTF".

Meh, I never feel good after beating an insanely difficult boss. I just feel like I wasted a lot of time, and hope that I don't have to do it again. I also occasionally feel terrified that I haven't hit a checkpoint yet. As you can imagine, I'm having a rough time getting through Dark Souls.
