Now guys we all heard the tale of the traveler and how it has helped protect the city and earth prosper. But surely like in every culture there are non believers and there might be guardians who dont fight for the traveler at ll. I want to know what you other gaurdians think about this since this thought came into my head today. P.S this is just something to discuss abour I doubt that gaurdians can actually attack each other unless its a PvP match

You should edit one of those hashtags #guardians.

Not all of them. I'm a traitor.
I AM A GOD
No. Trust no one. Even your closest friends in the game wouldn't hesitate to shoot you in the back in order to get that exotic weapon.

There will be zones specified for Player Versus Player combat. This is supposed to be an adventure to reclaim what was once ours. I am pretty sure we wouldn't get far if this was Futuristic DayZ

On the forums I cannot be trusted, in game i got ya back jack!

I have a group about this... The Dark Guardians. It's a shadowy themed group of guardians who aren't necessarily good guys, but fight for good because the alien threat is a greater enemy than fighting a civil war. still looking for members to join! eh? eh?

I believe people can only become Guardians if they trust in the Traveler. If not, then they are not provided the power that makes them Guardians.
But surely like in every culture there are non believers and there might be guardians who dont fight for the traveler at ll.
But then they wouldn't be guardians.

In this saga I would like to see the option of the followers of the Traveller and those of the Darkness. I see the possibilities and story ideas as fascinating. Great question, well done.

I think the Guardians are sort of like the Knights Templar, where they take an oath to service, so if there were "non-believers" they would either not be Guardians to begin with, lying just get the "Guardian" title, or their hearts changed during their service.

Something that interests me is if anyone went up to the Traveller and explored it, y'know go inside it or try to learn more about it. Guess we'll have to see when the game comes out.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were Humans who opposed the beliefs of the Traveler, but like Horse said, they wouldn't be Guardians. The Guardians all harness the Traveler's power to protect the last safe city which is where the Traveler is. Maybe there could be people who act like Guardians to lull others into a false sense of security.

Well I don't know story-wise, but in the game you can't attack other guardians I don't think

I'm a rogue Guardian If you ever cross me I'll put 90 bullets in your spleen and Nova-Bomb you while screaming 'HORSE RADISH into my mic.

I love this idea. I think it would be awesome to find little "forts" in-game led by rogue guardians.
-
I think that thought is plausible but probably not in the game
