A lot of our films show the "British Gentleman and lady of the house" sort of image like they where back in the 17th to 20th centuries.
Is that an image that will always dominate the minds of the world when they think about the UK? Or do you think the image will die/is dying?

I'm sure it never will disappear but it will be less prominent in peoples minds. Take Japan and the USA as examples. There are two different images I picture for each. Japan is based of time. There is the old feudal Japan and the modern robot obsessed version. The USA is really based of location. SF is silicon valley were businesses trade billions of dollars for services that don't make money. Then there is stereotypical Texas, which isn't anything like Alaska or Rhode Island. I'm not sure what the outside image of the UK is. farming Welsh, posh English, drunk Irish, and horrid Scottish? Or is it more like London bankers, rich aristocrats , lowlife chavs, and middle class pricks?

Is your modern image superior to that excellent image?
