Just watched The Wolf of Wall Street, it was really meh...
I love Leonardo DiCaprio, and he was good and all. But overall the movie kind of just bored me. I mean the parts that I think were supposed to be funny were just forced and kind of shoved in my face like "HE'S DOING COCAINE OFF A GIRLS ASSHOLE, WATCH IT". Now, my friend also hyped this up to be one of the greatest movies he's every seen so my opinion may be swayed because of that. But overall, it was really just an okay movie. I can totally understand why it didn't win any Academy Award.
Am I the only one who felt this way?

6 RepliesI'm going to watch it tomorrow night. My good buddy has also hyped it up as one of the best movies he's ever seen. I really enjoy Martin Scorcese's movies so I'm probably going to like this one, but 3.5 hours is a huge chunk of time for a movie that's just "okay". I'm hoping for the best but my expectations aren't too high. However, I intend on being quite intoxicated while I watch it, so that will definitely help me enjoy it more. I'll report back with my opinion on the movie once I watch it.
