Even before the announcement of the Beta date, we have clans forming on Bungie.net.
This warms my heart. You have no idea. I'm a clan geek. Dedicated teams of old (and new) friends are my favorite way to play a game - and to experience a community. There's no greater rush for my gaming chair than forming up with some clan mates that I know will watch my back and spice the tactical chatter with a few laughs.
A Bungie.net private group is a great way to start gathering your forces to invade our brave new world. When you issue a call-to-arms to join, we would like to recommend that you use the #Community forum. Bringing gamers together fits the theme of that board. You are complete welcome to promote your personal social movement. All we ask is that you do it in a way that doesn't distract from the shared exploration of what we know about the game.
If you think that #Destiny is the forum that represents a more fertile hunting ground, you can always contribute to the conversation about Destiny. Use your forum to host a public discussion about the adventures that await. Start a conversation that can be enjoyed by all. Not only will people see that your group has interesting opinions about Destiny, they'll have a link that leads right to your clubhouse.
I have discussed this with the Ninjas. They'll be directing all #Recruitment traffic to #Community. Please join us in saving #Destiny for conversations about the game.
Thanks. And good luck building your clan. I'll be hunting you with my own.
UPDATE: This is the plan, until we can unveil a new official board to serve the exclusive purpose of recruitment for Groups.
