Fallout 3 Comparison

This might sound strange, but suddenly I'm remembering how much better I felt in Fallout 3 when I had some allies to fight the baddies. This must have been in Bungie's mind as they built Destiny. As massive as the world of Fallout was, it seemed so much more inhospitably awful when I had no one from the Brotherhood of Steel to take flack from mutant scorpions. Secondly, there were so many times when I just wanted to blast my way through the goons, all those hit points and slow-motion was good for what it was, but it did break up gameplay narrative. A Halo style shoot-em up would be so much more delicious. I think we're going to get that. Thirdly, almost nobody has been talking about the *kind* of missions we might be engaging in Old Russia or the bogs of Chi-town. Thinking about how many narrative style missions there were in Fallout3 makes me think that there must be ample precedent fueling the imaginations at Bungie. And forget some of that puzzly assembly of parts and pieces and just give me pure loot. Thinking of Destiny in terms of Fallout3 gives a whole new perspective on possibilities few people have discussed. How do you think Destiny might be like or unlike Fallout3?
