Branching story line or linear story line?

Branching, it makes the game more interesting

Linear, makes the story simple and easy to play

Both, linear to a point then branches off

Actions should affect what happens in the story

Personally, i don't care as long as it is fun

Want a say? Or really don't care?

I've given this a little thought and although I would prefer a branched story line, most likely it will be linear. The reason being is this wont be the only game using this franchise. They story will have to continue, but in order to do that everyone will have to be on the same page lore-wise.
