This was the MOST absolutely ridiculous episode of Sword Art Online I have ever watched. The amount of utter BULLSHIT emitting from this episode rivals Attack On Titan Episode 8. Let me make it clear, while watching this anime, I've seen Kirito pull off some pretty asinine Dues Ex Machina's, but nothing came close to the sheer ASS PULL he got this time.
How CONVENIENT that Heathcliff was in the system of ALO to give Kirito Admin Powers, so he can beat the guy in the most anticlimatic battle this show has ever had.
PLEASE tell me I'm not the only that was upset at this ending.

Edited by Atomic Tea: 2/9/2014 8:09:52 PMI didn't really enjoy anything past episode 5, to be honest. The virtual reality MMO concept was really cool, but the romance really turned me off from the series. The whole thing was really cliche... Edit: Not to mention Kirito is just about the most generic shonen hero ever created. Almost. If you want a good anime... you should check out Initial D. Or Golgo 13. Or both. At the same time. Glorious.

Ian, SAO is self insert wish fulfillment garbage for young teens. You really should have expected something like that to happen.
-
If you didn't notice the entire second half of the season is pretty fanficky bullshit. I haven't even watched the final episode.
-
Yup, lots of bullshit.
-
It's similar to Yu-Gi-Oh's heart of the cards bs... But I hear the final episode is pretty awesome!
-
I didn't watch it yet, so I skipped the OP, but surely it can't be as bad as
tentacle admins
-
Well, from the get go they said ALO was just using data from SAO. The cringey part for me was the whole save the girl story. And stupid fairies.
-
Yeah, that episode was just... Ugh. Good thing there will be a second season, right? And that it gives them the opportunity to improve on.. all the flaws... right?

ALO was disappointing, but that part in particular? No. I had no issues with that. It was explained well enough. More importantly... nothing wrong with Episode 8 of AoT.

Edited by RIP Tuna Man™: 2/9/2014 7:27:08 PMYou are the only one upset. Maybe if you followed the story the end would make sense. I was however disappointed with Alfhiem. Edit: i thought the OP was referring to the end of SAO not Alfhiem, my bad.
