I hear people say "60 bucks is a lot for a video game blah blah blah".
The UK just got a £10 price hike for our video games for both digital and in store to make it £50 which is about $70-80. (Consoles only)
Then EA jacked the price up in India, Australia pays about $100 ASD and yet the American's seem to think a game is too much for something.
So why don't you lot just think "I get a better deal than everybody else so why am I complaining?".

Im from Malaysia and one game costs almost 300.

Edited by MajorLeageMiner: 11/4/2015 8:07:02 PMI wish everyone outside of the U.S. Would stop thinking everyone in the U.S. Is a stereotypical asshole who complains about everything. We aren't. It's the vocal minority, as always with this kind of crap. I personally think it's ridiculous that you have to pay more based on where you live, I don't think it's fair. I think we should stop basing what people think based on country of origin or console they play on. It's just the vocal minority being the usual complainers that they are. Yes some countries complain more than others but it doesn't mean it's everyone. Besides, From my own personal experience the vocal minority of EU and the the populated areas within it seem pretty like pretty stuck-up know-it-all's. HOWEVER I'm bright enough to KNOW this isn't true for everyone, and I'm sure most people there are probably nice people, but again, because of the people who complain it seems like otherwise. Edit: oh this post is old... oh well, I think I made some good pointers for others anyway... I should look at the date of stuff more, so many necro's lately

TBH, the price for games right now is cheap. for how hard it is to create games it should be 70-80 US dollars before tax

You should try throwing your government's tea in the harbor.

Why did we stop Germany again?
-
I hope they raised it again since the time you posted this

Ok yes to us it would be like paying $70-$80 but to u its the same as paying $60. Because say i get $10 and you get £10 you have more money even though its both 10

Different economies. Different currencies. Numbers are arbitrary. In korea I pay 60,000 for a game. (Won - lol) Import taxes, tarrifs, FTA agreement. You look at such a complex matter in such a simple way. Victimizers and complainers. Its funny that your post is about Americans whining but your post is a whine in itself. Funny. Dont victimize yourself. It makes you look weak. Dont comment on complex economic issues. It makes you look ignorant. And dont bash on Americans. (Its too easy. You pick on the disabled kids at school too?)

We play $100 for most current gen games in Australia. We don't usually complain.

Necro bump

IRELAND RULES!
-
I wish other people could stop complaining about Americans and just worry about themselves.
-
When your monarchy wanted to charge us more, we declared independence. You should do the same and then set your own taxes.
-
It's been 60 bucks for a decade. That's why we get half done games, DLC for more.
-
I hear you in Canada it's 75-80$ for a new game now.
-
Shut up lone Paul you pedo
-
Who necro'd a damn lonepaul post?
-
lol Americans happily pay high prices, which jacks up the cost for everyone else. Digitally games cost around $100 in Aus, because well... thats around the same price for everyone else. But retail Blops3 and Fallout 4 new are $59 (that's what? 20-30gbp) does that sound more reasonable?
-
You guys complain more than we do
-
Americans can complain, but it doesn't mean it will change. Fun fact: 80% of a company's complaints come from only 20% of their customers. Here is another one: companies make 80% of their profit off of only 20% of their consumers. Of course these numbers are rounded up or down to be the 80 20, but the trend holds true within a couple percent. I hope everyone keeps this in mind.

If gas was 7 dollars a gallon, but the gas station across the street from me costs 6.50, I'm still going to complain about gas prices. Git gud, sincerely America.
-
To all my fellow Canadians complaining about the cost of our games, please take note that $80 CAD is roughly $62 USD. The cost of a new PS4 or Xbone game in the US is $70 USD
-
If the yanks stopped spending hundreds of dollars on maccas ever week they wouldnt be such cat lards and be able to buy them

Americans* and maybe some people just can't afford that shit, it's not our fault nor should we care that fricking India has higher prices because we don't live in India and it is all video games, so why don't you stop complaining about Americans complaining.
