Halo Reach 50 Points Limit

I have read that because of XBox Live matchmaking, it is impossible to gain more than 50 points in Halo Reach with any profile associated with Xbox Live. The game is over 3 years old, no? Does anyone even play it online anymore? But either way, I don't play it online nor do I pay for the service. I only play disconnected from XBLive with my girlfriend at home. She thinks she's 20x better than I am because I get a maximum of 50 points and she gets around 900 and is raking 5 times faster than I am (which is ridiculous). Bungie should have come up with a patch to fix this problem, by now.

    • The scale for online vs offline credits in Halo Reach are vastly different. This was done by design.
Bungie should have come up with a patch to fix this problem, by now.
The first step in solving a problem is recognizing that there is one. Which in this particular case, there isn't one.

      • You earn credits much faster offline than you do online due to the fact that you cannot play MM, which is the quickest way to get credits. When you have an offline profile, you gain a boosted number of credits to level you up faster so you can still unlock stuff. When you connect your profile to Xbox Live and play online, your credits are reduced to what you would have earned in those campaign/custom games had you been connected all along (i.e. you'll go from like a General to a Lieutenant). You also will earn the actual, online rate for credits from that point on since you've showed you can connect your profile to XBL. This is to stop people from boosting credits offline, then connecting online to reap the benefits. This is by design, and not a glitch or bug. That is why you will never see a 'fix' for this 'problem.'
